Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse onthe Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, you will be joining a team of professionals who are dedicated todeliverexcellent care to our patients. You will enable patients to reach their goals through care specifically designed to cater to individual patientneeds, andalso administered by some of the most highly skilled and trained providers in the Rocky Mountain region. 



What you will do in this role: 



  • You will be delivering patient care to BMT and immunocompromised patients based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual. 
  • You will perform and oversee care of patients with critical illness or injury utilizing the nursing process.  
  • You will be demonstrating your advanced knowledge, skills and understanding of all aspects of the population served in the care of your patients. 
  • You will be providing safe and appropriate care within our Values and Standards of Nursing Practice. 
What qualifications you will need:
  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
  • BLS – Healthcare provider and ACLS required. 
  • NIHSS certification within 90 days. 
  • ONS Chemotherapy Provider Card required within 90 days. 
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN Preferred.
  • EKG interpretation competency or course within the first 6 months of hire.
  • One or more years of experience in critical care (ICU) strongly preferred.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assess patient's nutritional status and develop individualized nutrition plans based on their medical history, current health status, and specific needs

  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on proper nutrition, healthy eating habits, and lifestyle changes

  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement clinical protocols and best practices for nutrition care

  • Monitor patients' progress and make modifications to their nutrition plans as needed

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of clinical nutrition

Qualifications

Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary: The Unit Manager is an RN who demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to his or her patients and to provide direction and supervision to other staff caring for patients in his or her patient care departments/units. Job Summary and Qualifications

The expert practice of the OR Service Line Lead provides for the daily operations and maintenance of specific service lines. This position is essential in coordinating services as part of an interdisciplinary team of caregivers.  

What you will do in this role: 

  • You will collaborate with all other healthcare disciplines to achieve successful execution of the patient’s plan-of-care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.  
  • You will meet the Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, The Joint Commission and the Plan for Provision of Nursing Care and the Plan for Provision of Care to Patients, and other regulatory requirements.  
  • Your operational responsibilities include the coordination of staff education, outcome management, physician outreach, customer service, revenue integrity, and capital budgets. 
  • You will be required to take call as needed by the department and completes other duties as assigned. 

What qualifications you will need: 

  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.  
  • Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Responsibilities:

Presbyterian is looking for an Charge RN for our Cardiac Step Down unit. This unit is comprised of a

38-bed unit committed to the health of our patients by providing the highest level of care using a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. The unit provides patient-focused, specialized care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring for various cardiovascular disorders, including cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure. Patients recovering from myocardial infarction, coronary intervention, pacemaker implantation and electrophysiology procedures are also cared for on this unit.  Our unit also has approximately 50% regular progressive care-type patients.  Cardiac Progressive Unit provides quality care to all its patient populations through a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach. Comprehensive, professional patient care is provided during the inpatient stay, followed by personalized discharge planning to meet outpatient needs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum One year of nursing experience required

  • Associate Degree in Nursing minimum from an accredited academic nursing program (If a program is under conditional status, approval may be granted by system CNO)

  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License

  • BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire

  • ACLS

Specialty Certifications: Specialty Certifications in area of practice preferred

  • CDS Inpatient

  • Progressive and Critical Care Units: ACLS
