Description

American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for a rehab setting in Missouri with active CCC-SLP certification and at least 1 year of experience in LTC or SNF.

Details

- Work in a long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility (SNF) rehab setting
- Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shifts with flexible start times between before 6AM and no later than 10AM, requiring consistency and communication with the Director of Rehab
- No weekend shifts unless making up hours for a holiday that falls during the week
- No on-call requirements
- Electronic documentation system used for patient records
- Participation in required facility meetings such as patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings

Requirements

- Current Missouri SLP license required if applicable
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- At least 1 year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience in LTC or SNF setting required
- New graduates accepted only with Level II clinical experience
- Three years of CCC-SLP experience preferred
- One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

- Responsibilities include evaluation, screening, and rehabilitation for patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders
- Develop and adjust individualized plans of care and monitor patient progress
- Provide consultation, counseling, and comprehensive discharge summaries for patients, families, caregivers, and other providers
- Adhere to ASHA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and professional ethics
- Supervise and support Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or student SLPs as needed
- Must participate in required trainings, in-services, and conferences
- No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be considered
