The Opportunity
- Seeking highly competitive and motivated candidates with strong interest in bolstering their ultrasound skills.
- One (1) year ultrasound fellowship, available for the 2025-2026 academic year.
- Program includes dedicated hours to image acquisition, interpretation, and clinical integration at Kaweah Health Medical Center, participation in local, regional, national, and international ultrasound courses, and exposure to leadership at all levels.
- As a EUFAC-accredited program, Kaweah Health provides a very strong exposure to the tenents of clinical, administrative, quality assurance, teaching, research, unit acquisition, and revenue cycle management. Additionally, we are an ACEP Clinically Accredited Ultrasound Program (one of only four in CA).
Required Experience and Competencies
- Graduate of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency program required.
- Board Certified/Eligible in Emergency Medicine.

The Opportunity
- Act as the Quality Medical Director locally, as well as interface between Vituity and Kaweah.
- Vituity has its own Quality team, with which you will become heavily involved, with quarterly virtual workshops, annual in-person workshops, and semi-annual and annual Quality Data audits that are done per provider and for the entire site.
- Learn to stay up to date with CMS' evolving quality metrics and requirements and learn how to reinforce compliance within Vituity and within your site's local operations.
- Act as the ED Sepsis Champion within Kaweah's Sepsis team.
- Work closely with Kaweah Sepsis Team, Quality Officer, Department Chairs, IT, and lab directors.
- Act as the liaison between Kaweah and the ED providers for all matters sepsis related.
- Continue to develop policies and processes to optimize sepsis care within the ED, as well as maximize compliance with CMS requirements. Continue to monitor and revise said policies and processes in real time.
- Attend meetings quarterly and monthly, depending on the level (generally can be virtual).
- Act as the ED Trauma Liaison on the Kaweah Trauma Committee.
- Interface between ED and Surgical providers (including surgery, ortho, vascular, CT, anesthesia, ICU, lab, radiology, etc.) on acute issues or policy optimization.
- Work closely with Trauma Manager and Trauma Director to optimize our site's trauma performance, remediate issues, and ensure ongoing site certification as a trauma center by the American College of Surgeons.
- Chart and case review. Trauma PIPS and PEER review.
- Attend monthly meetings for Trauma Operations and Trauma PIPS/PEER review, both of which are done in a hybrid model (virtual participation is okay).

The Opportunity
- Oversee quality and safety initiatives.

The Lead Certified Medical Assistant (Lead CMA) is responsible for coordinating the clinical flow, the interaction of all certified medical assistant (MA) staff, and daily functions. Responsibilties:
A day in the life of a Lead Certified Medical Assistant at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
- Performs all duties of the Medical Assistant (see job description).
- Schedules all medical assistant and clerical staff in order to achieve optimum patient/customer service, to expedite work flow collaborating with clerical coordinator to ensure full office/clinical functioning.
- Coordinates with/assists clerical coordinator with daily front end functions such as but not limited to scheduling, registration, verification of benefits, and authorizations for testing and procedures.
- Makes recommendation to correct Quality Assurance problems and ensures employees are providing quality clinical care to patients.
- Assists with training of medical assistant staff on related services. Ensure medical assistants can perform the specialized testing required for quality patient care. These include but are not limited to A1C testing, blood glucose monitor downloading and all other required point of care testing.
- Assists with staff proficiency and competency assessment in performing these tests on an ongoing basis. Informs management if additional education is needed, and provides feedback to nurse coordinator/manager on staff proficiency on an ongoing basis.
- Orients MA staff in the use of current and future monitoring equipment and equipment upgrades.
- Ensures that the equipment is in working order, maintained properly and logbooks are up to date including calibration of equipment used for daily functioning of each clinic. Places proper work orders to correct any identified issues and teaches staff on this process so all are empowered to care for the work areas to ensure proper patient care. Delegates as necessary to share responsibilities and knowledge.
- Ensures departmental policies and procedures are followed.
- Coordinates the unit statistical data collection, reviews results, and makes recommendations for improvement based on the analysis.
- Consults with the nurse coordinator/manager in response to patient and physician complaints, following through to resolution.
- Participates in the budget process in collaboration with the nurse coordinator/manager. Monitors expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budget.
- Delegates responsibilities to MA staff in order to develop their potential and follows up on performance.
- Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care that is specific to those needs (i.e. age, culture, language, hearing and/or visually impaired, etc.). This process includes communicating with the patient, family member and/or primary care giver at their level (developmental/age, educational, literacy, etc.).

Basic Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED.
* PTCB or Except certification.
* Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
* Basic level PC skills (for example start up and shut down computer, use mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents or access information on line).
* Basic Search Engines skills to include opening a browser, typing in URLs in the correct location, using a search engine, bookmarking a site, navigating using back or forward or stop buttons, and filling out forms online.
* Intermediate level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, touch typing, formatting documents).
* Willing and able to perform tasks which include pushing, pulling, grasping and lifting with or without reasonable accommodation.
* Willing and able to carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
* Willing and able to work a flexible shift.
* 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
* At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail, fulfillment or call center environment.
* Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality and productivity standards for services.
* Intermediate to advanced level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, touch typing, formatting documents).

Salary Range: $17.5 - $23.35 / Hourly
Responsible for providing order processing support for fulfillment and/or provide assistance in the preparation and distribution of prescription medication via the use of the fulfillment system. Follows standard operating procedures and performs duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
* Using Walgreens prescription data entry procedures and guidelines, processes new patient registration by entering data into appropriate system. Handles patient prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enters refill orders for processing. Troubleshoots to obtain missing prescription information, and interprets medical abbreviations (SIG codes). Resolves all data entry related exceptions.
* Run automated machinery, sort medications, transition inventory through different workflow stages with a focus on quality control.
* Count and fill prescriptions, affix labels, pack and ship. Clean and help maintain machinery and maintain an orderly work area.
* Resolves Third Party Rejects by reviewing, gathering information, making corrections and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements.
* Provides assistance to Pharmacists, both those in the facility and those at other locations. Identifies and communicates issues to senior level staff as appropriate.
* Must obtain active technician license or certification within the first 90 days, and maintain an active technician license or certification.
