This client is a rapidly growing staffing firm located in Midtown Manhattan, doubling their headcount each year. They generated $11M in revenue in 2025 and are now establishing a dedicated Accounting & Finance permanent placement team. This is an in-office, hands-on training role designed for someone early in their career who wants to accelerate their growth!


What you’ll do:

β€’ Manage your own desk and book of business

β€’ Source, screen, and qualify candidates, manage pipelines, and handle the process from start to finish

β€’ Build strong relationships with candidates

β€’ Develop and maintain client relationships

β€’ Learn and implement a proven recruiting strategy (coaching provided)

β€’ Utilize modern tools such as LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Salesforce, CareerBuilder, Indeed, and more to drive activity and results

β€’ Grow into leadership responsibilities as you perform well


What they're looking for:

β€’ 2-6 years of experience in staffing or recruiting, preferably in NetSuite, Government Services, or Accounting & Finance environments

β€’ Someone coachable, competitive, consistent, with a desire for a clear career path and willing to put in the work

β€’ Excellent communication skills, good judgment, and strong attention to detail

β€’ Comfortable working onsite in NYC five days a week


Compensation & Incentives:

β€’ Competitive base salary plus 20% commissions paid on invoice

The Opportunity

The Associate will play a key role in executing retained search mandates from inception through completion. Working closely with Partners and Principals, the Associate will support search strategy, market mapping, candidate identification, and client deliverables.

This role offers direct exposure to senior executives and decision-makers across the financial services landscape and provides a clear path toward long-term growth within executive search.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed market research across asset management, private equity, hedge funds, and broader financial services
  • Develop target company lists and talent maps aligned with client mandates
  • Identify, engage, and screen prospective candidates
  • Prepare candidate write-ups, briefing materials, and search progress reports
  • Support client calls and search strategy discussions
  • Maintain accurate search documentation and CRM records
  • Contribute to industry mapping and competitive intelligence initiatives


Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 0–3 years of professional experience (investment banking, consulting, financial services, recruiting, research, or other analytical/client-facing roles preferred)
  • Strong interest in financial markets and the asset management industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and professional maturity
