The Opportunity

  • Serve as a core faculty member within the Emergency Medicine Residency Program and play a key leadership role in medical education.
  • Design, coordinate, and manage the monthly didactic curriculum, ensuring high-yield, board-relevant, and engaging academic content that supports resident development and aligns with ACGME standards.
  • Develop and manage the monthly didactic calendar including topic selection, speaker scheduling, and integration of stimulation, small-group, asynchronous, and case-based learning.
  • Ensure content aligns with ABEM Model of Clinical Practice, milestones, and in-training exam objectives.
  • Coordinate the weekly educational conference, journal club, and special sessions (e.g., M&M, procedural workshops, board review).

  • Participate in CCC and PEC meetings and serve as a mentor to residents.

Required Experience and Competencies

  • Board-Certified Emergency Medicine physician (ABEM/AOBEM) required.

Hands Of Healing's Security Guards will be responsible for providing twenty-four (24) monitoring seven (7) days a week (to include holidays). SGs are scheduled to provide twenty-four (24) hour surveillance of the program grounds, to include monitoring the perimeter of the program grounds and ensure unauthorized individuals are not permitted access into the premises. SG are responsible for controlling facility access, always guarding the property.

This position relays any concern that might represent a danger to clients, staff, property and vehicles to the Program Director or Designee. They are also required to provide support when investigations are being conducted, when called upon to do so.

*Essential Functions:*

* Responsible for verifying the identification of all individuals prior to having access to the program.
* Require all HOH employees to present their HOH issued ID prior to entering the program.
* Announces all visitors and confirm approval, with HOH Administration or Designees, to enter the facility.
* Keeps record of clients leaving the premises by recording the date, time, transporting staff, vehicle number, destination, and client/staff ratio within the vehicle.
* Keeps record of all vendors, service providers, attorneys, ICE and Border Patrol. Keeps a log record.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A graduate of a state approved or National League of Nursing accredited School of Nursing
  • RN license or eligible for licensure in the state Delaware
  • Two years’ experience as a RN, physician office experience preferred
  • BSN preferred; ADN considered with agreement of completion of BSN in 3 years

Special Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the state in which the work is performed

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Stroke Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the stroke program as well as achieving and maintaining Primary Stroke Center Certification. Responsibilities include administration of the program under the guidance of the Medical Director, Joint Commission requirements, CMS Core Measure standards and clinical practice guidelines for stroke. 

  • Interpersonal and public speaking skills are necessary in order to communicate effectively with multicultural patients, families, physicians, hospital staff and the public
  • Analytical skills are necessary in order to develop and implement program plans and effective education techniques and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail, resolve patient care problems and identify patient needs to nurse and physicians.
  • Basic to advanced computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel and other database applications.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Two (2) years of relevant experience with stroke care, additional Emergency Dept/Intensive Care Unit experience Required
  • Experience is desirable in acute stroke research or other related areas and interventional studies in order to develop and implement stroke awareness, prevention, risk identification, and stroke scale measurements
  • Must effectively read, write and verbally communicate in the English language 
  • Bachelor’s degree Required
  • ACLS Certification-CCRN, CNRN, SCRN, ASC-BC (1- Critical Care certification required after 2 years)

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Stroke Coordinator coordinates the clinical aspects of the stroke program and leads the Nursing teams that provide immediate care to patients who suffer sudden onset or progression of symptoms of stroke. Acts as a liaison to the community for the stroke center by providing and organizing education awareness of signs and symptoms of stroke, current medical treatments, risk factors, preventions and rehabilitation services. Develop educational programs for nurses, clinical staff, physicians, and EMS. Facilitates physician collaboration and utilizes an interdisciplinary approach to stroke care to improve patient outcomes in a cost-effective manner. JOB FUNCTIONS:

  •  Works with the medical, nursing and ancillary staff to assure continuity of care and use of evidenced based practices
