The Opportunity

The IT4IT manager will lead a dynamic technical team within the organization, focusing on aligning global IT strategies with the region objectives. What will you bring

High level technical foundation (architecture, DevOps, SRE, cloud, integration).

Position description

This position will assist with research at the forefront of Behavioral, Public, and Labor Economics. The position entails analyzing public and private datasets using quasi-experimental methods, assisting with literature reviews, helping set-up and analyze randomized experiments both online and in the field, and using computational techniques to test predictions of economic theory and to evaluate public policies. Will perform data analysis using statistical packages such as Stata and perform numerical simulations using languages such as Matlab. Will utilize collaborative tools like GitHub to manage projects and tasks. We will help prepare the researcher for applying to graduate programs in economics.

  • Assists in setting up experiments in the field and online. Coordinates surveys and the data collection process. Responds to questions from participants.

  • Applies professional or research concepts to perform analysis of data and systems pertaining to moderately complex projects, policies, initiatives, / processes, and / or functions:

Overview

The Capital and Development Project Coordinator provides support for the Asset Management and Development groups. This role focuses on reporting, planning, documentation, task tracking, and administration. Responsibilities

Capital Planning & Reporting (Primary Focus ~70%):

  • Maintain shared trackers, files, and document repositories for both the Development and Asset Management teams.
  • Coordinate with Asset Management and Development groups to collect required documentation and monthly/quarterly updates.
  • Prepare recurring reporting packages for internal Asset Managers, including monthly and quarterly capex activities.
  • Ensure timely submission of reporting deliverables, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
  • Document management for capital planning files, approvals, and audit support.
  • Maintain databases and files (e.g., development projects, financing deals).
  • Assist with preparation for internal and external presentations related to capital planning and asset performance.

Operational Support (~30%):

  • Coordinate meetings and calls, including scheduling, agendas, and distribution of materials.
  • Track follow up and open items from meetings.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems for Asset Management.
  • Assist Development team as needed with close out items for projects.

Qualifications

Department Overview

The California Policy Lab (CPL) generates research insights for government impact. Through hands-on partnerships with government agencies, CPL performs rigorous research across issue silos and builds the data infrastructure necessary to improve programs and policies that millions of Californians rely on every day. We work on California's most urgent issues, including homelessness, poverty, criminal justice reform, and education inequality. Position Description

The Health & Safety Net Researcher will lead CPL's research portfolio relating to the social safety net and health, in collaboration with and under the oversight of CPL's faculty affiliates and Research Director. This is an exciting role for a skilled safety net and/or health researcher who wants to design and conduct policy-relevant quantitative research in partnership with state and local agencies throughout California. The Health & Safety Net Researcher conducts quantitative research, including conceptualizing research questions and design; requesting, receiving, and cleaning data files; creating and implementing an analysis plan; conducting quality assurance reviews; summarizing results in documents for both academic and policy audiences; and generating replicability documentation. The Health & Safety Net Researcher can implement multiple research designs and analysis techniques, including but not limited to randomized control trials, quasi-experimental designs using natural experiments or other such variation, and difference-in-difference and event study analyses. Further, a successful candidate can lead research projects under the oversight of CPL's Research Director with small teams, write proposals to support research projects, and ensure timely and high-quality completion of research tasks. The position will report to the Research Director and will work directly with leading social policy researchers at UC and other top universities, state and local government agency staff, and CPL's leadership team.



Position Responsibilities

As a Consumer Relations Manager, the role will carry out responsibilities such as but not limited to leading the company's strategy and operations related to consumer feedback, complaints, inquiries and product experience insights. Call Center Operations

  • Review company policies and implement them effectively and efficiently
  • Develop and implement consumer service policies and procedures

  • Monitor accuracy of the CR database and of consumer feedback reports

  • Analyze and report product issues and consumer feedback trends for all the Lactalis US divisions
  • Oversee CR protocols for dealing with "consumer threats" and "product emergencies", working closely with all Lactalis US divisions Legal, Crisis Management, Quality Assurance, and Communications Leads
  • Oversee communications to consumers. Work closely with each Lactalis US division Quality Assurance, Marketing and Regulatory to prepare standard responses and product talking points, and update them on a regular basis

Supervisory Responsibilities

The Environment

The UC Berkeley Library is an internationally renowned research and teaching facility at one of the nation's premier public universities. The Library Data Services Program (LDSP) guides scholars to discover, access, share, and preserve data through dataset acquisition, discovery, and librarian-led instruction and consultations. LDSP works with UC Berkeley librarians and library staff to provide internal professional development and training opportunities to enhance our data management skills and provide data services for our users. LDSP provides data services to all disciplines at UC Berkeley through collaboration with librarians and library staff in the Library's divisions including Arts and Humanities, Instruction Services, Sciences, and Social Sciences.



Responsibilities

The Data Instruction and Outreach Librarian will work in partnership with and under the guidance of the Data Services Librarian in the Library Data Services Program. Librarians and staff in the Library Data Services Program collaborate closely with subject librarians and library staff to provide data support for researchers, faculty, and students who are using data in research, teaching, and learning. This librarian will actively participate in the Library's instruction services-providing consultations, teaching workshops, and designing instructional content.



The Data Instruction and Outreach Librarian will develop and maintain a scaffolded approach to data instruction that includes: supporting novice users, including undergraduate students, who may be unaccustomed to working with data; providing instruction and outreach for the library's licensed datasets and platforms; and collaborating with subject and instruction librarians to teach data literacy, ethics, analysis, and visualization. This position also works to integrate data literacy and data science pedagogical practices into the library's instructional portfolio, with a special focus on undergraduates. Since using AI in data analysis workflows is becoming more common, the librarian will help faculty, researchers, and students use licensed AI tools in conjunction with ethical and legal use of library resources, as well as within the broader University context.



The librarian will engage with the Research Data Management Program. This unique program bridges the UC Berkeley Library and Research IT to conduct outreach related to data management, storage, and sharing. UC Berkeley, through entities like the Library, the College of Computing, Data Science, and Society, the D-Lab, the Berkeley Institute for Data Science, and the Berkeley Initiative for Transparency in the Social Sciences, actively supports the development of research and classroom environments that champion transparency and reproducibility.
