Position Summary
The Prepared Foods Closing Manager is responsible for overseeing all evening operations within the prepared foods department. This role ensures product quality, food safety compliance, team productivity, and a seamless customer experience during closing hours. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong culinary awareness, operational discipline, and the ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the prepared foods team during evening and closing shifts
- Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and quality standards are consistently met
- Oversee product merchandising, replenishment, and presentation standards
- Manage closing procedures, including inventory, waste tracking, and department readiness for the next day
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members
- Address customer needs and resolve issues to maintain a high level of satisfaction
- Collaborate with department leadership on production planning and execution
- Monitor labor efficiency and support scheduling needs as required
