Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification for a night shift hospital position serving ER, inpatient, and outpatient populations.
Details
- Hospital-based CT department serving ER, inpatient, and outpatient populations
- Level II Trauma Center
- Night shift schedule: Sunday–Thursday 10:30 PM–6:30 AM and Friday–Saturday 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Every other weekend rotation required
- 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (40 hours per week)
- May float to a nearby sister hospital
- GE and Philips CT equipment used
- PACS and RIS utilized
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
- ARRT (CT) and BLS (AHA) required
- Active Michigan state license required if applicable
- Hospital-level CT experience required
- Proficiency with GE and Philips CT scanners required
- CT workstation experience required
- High School Diploma or GED required; ongoing continuing medical education hours must be maintained
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move equipment or patients in excess of 10 lbs
Additional Information
- Perform CT scans and may perform general diagnostic radiology examinations under general supervision
- Responsibilities include administering IV contrast media via power injector and monitoring patients for reactions
- Assists radiologist with complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies
- Applies radiation protection principles including ALARA techniques
- Manages image delivery and exception resolution within PACS, and completes all study indexing in RIS
- Online orientation modules must be completed onsite prior to start date (typically one week before)
- COVID vaccination is required to work at this facility
- Pewter scrubs required
- All RTO requests must be submitted prior to assignment start; requests made after offer will be reviewed with management once the assignment begins
- First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but hospital experience is required
