The Opportunity
Catholic Health, an integrated health system in Buffalo, New York, announces an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished nurse leader to serve as its Senior Vice President, Quality and Safety.
Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer, the SVP Quality and Safety is responsible for the overall management of an experienced broad-based team charged with monitoring, reporting, educating and inspiring devotion to excelling in internal and external quality metrics for the entire enterprise with the goal of attaining and sustaining top decile performance. The SVP serves as the system liaison and senior executive for all Quality and Patient Safety collaborative initiatives with the acute care hospitals, service lines, continuing care division and homecare ministries to promote integration and alignment in an effort to improve the quality and safety outcomes across the continuum, thereby improving the patient's overall experience.
The SVP will provide leadership and guidance for the executive leaders' education and development and lead the efforts for quality improvement education, training and coaching of all Catholic Health staff. The SVP will be responsible for establishing a strategic framework for achieving the institution's goals with relation to medical care quality, education quality, research quality and patient safety. Additionally, the SVP will play a critical role in system and Catholic Medical Partners initiatives regarding population health management, quality improvement, clinical practice standardization. The SVP will also foster a culture of safety, champion high reliability and the magnet journey in addition to other cross functional activities.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A master's degree with clinical major required.
- Current registration with the New York State Education Department as a Registered Professional Nurse or ability to quickly obtain will be required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive quality and safety management experience in an acute care setting.
- Experience in an academic medical center and/or progressive health system of significant size and complexity preferred.
- Experience establishing and monitoring appropriate process and outcome measures for key initiatives using a systems perspective; evaluating the processes by which clinical care and patient services are delivered.
- Experience working with informatics, metrics, and performance improvement.
- Demonstrated change management skills in a complex environment.
- An inspirational leader that motivated colleagues and staff throughout the organization by clearly articulating a compelling vision for the future, making courageous decisions, following through with commitments, and demonstrating an unrelenting passion for CH mission and performance.
- Experience with tracking, reporting, and improving key quality and safety metrics.

Compensation Range: The base salary range for this position is $275,000 to $300,000 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base salary range listed above is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

The Opportunity:
Orlando Health announces an exceptional opportunity for an exemplary physician leader to serve as the Inaugural Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Assistant Vice President, Orlando Health. The healthcare system is recognized around the world for Central Florida's only pediatric and adult level I trauma program and the home to the nation's largest neonatal intensive care unit. For fifteen consecutive years, UNSWR has ranked OHAPH on its Best Children's Hospital list in multiple pediatric specialties.
Reporting to Justin Williams, President OHAPH, the Inaugural Chief Medical Officer will be a member of the executive leadership team for OHAPH. The CMO is responsible for overseeing and advancing all aspects of quality and patient safety and advancing care delivery capabilities. In collaboration with other leaders, the CMO focuses on understanding, addressing and improving operational processes, to improve quality and safety, but also make it easier to deliver care while simultaneously improving access, throughput, and experience (both provider and patient).
The CMO is responsible for the hospital staff to ensure evidence-based practice standards, protocols, and direction are in place, and ensures the highest quality and efficiency of patient care in accord with the organization's mission and values. The CMO acts as the primary liaison between Administration and the hospital staff on a wide variety of matters relevant to developing and sustaining a strong collaborative relationship. The CMO is also responsible for overseeing and advancing medical staff affairs processes, including privileging, credentialing, peer review, and provider performance (both clinical and behavioral). In addition, the CMO supports and advances physician recruitment, retention, and engagement endeavors along with the educational experience of all trainees.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Minimum of 10-15 years of experience as a clinical physician required.
* Minimum of 5-10 years of physician leadership experience including a strong quality and safety background.
* MD, DO, MD/PhD or equivalent is required.
* Board certified in pediatrics or a pediatric sub-specialty.
* Eligible for licensure in the State of Florida.
* The CMO requires leadership skills commensurate with a history of leadership roles/responsibilities and an understanding of behavioral and organizational change methodology.
* Demonstrated experience in executing quality improvement methodologies; and knowledge and/or experience with models for the evaluation of resource use, influencing factors and analysis.
* Evidence of a strong history of working effectively with a wide range of constituents including all the providers and leadership withing the system.
* An outstanding listener. Someone who facilitates an open exchange of ideas and fosters an atmosphere of open communication.
* Strong management skills, including the ability to manage and mentor providers, build organizational capability and collaborate effectively with peers.

The successful candidate will be based at Bryn Mawr Hospital, one of four acute care hospitals within the Main Line Health system. As part of a collaborative team of general and subspecialty-trained neurologists, the incoming physician will help expand access to advanced headache care in a high-performing network that includes strong outpatient and inpatient neurology services. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The new Chair will provide leadership for the Department of Dermatology and its clinical, teaching and research projects. In this context, the Chair reports to the Executive Vice President, Chief Physician Executive and Clinical Officer and is also accountable to the Executive Vice President, Chief Academic Officer.
The successful candidate will be charged with leading the Department of Dermatology with excellence in patient care, education, research, and advocacy. The Chair will be responsible for providing academic leadership for the faculty, residents, medical students and staff in the Department and for providing administrative support to ensure fulfillment of MetroHealth’s mission of serving patients regardless of their financial status, educating learners at all levels of medical education, and promoting innovative research. The Chair will be expected to be actively engaged in scholarly and educational activities under the auspices of an appointment at CWRU.
The Chair of Dermatology will also be responsible for building upon the many key educational and investigative relationships between and among CWRU and regional affiliates. The Chair will champion and promote as well as sponsor faculty development while leveraging the existing strengths of an already strong Department.
The Chair will be called on to provide leadership, creativity, and vision – creating a highly collaborative environment that promotes best practices and generates opportunities for the continued growth of the Department faculty and ultimately the clinical enterprise at MetroHealth. About the Role:
The Chair of Neurology will provide senior leadership for all hospital-based neurology services at Glen Cove Hospital, working closely with hospital and Eastern Region leadership to achieve departmental goals across clinical, quality, operational, and financial performance.
This role blends clinical and administrative responsibilities (approximately 80/20 split) and includes:
- Inpatient consultative services at Glen Cove Hospital as well as ambulatory practice.
- Physician recruitment, mentorship, and supervision.
- Strategic program development and process improvement.
Candidate Qualifications:
- D. Degree from an accredited institution (ACGME or foreign program that is similarly appropriately accredited)
- Board certification in Neurology.
- Those who have completed fellowship training and board certification in neuromuscular disorders are encouraged to apply.
- Minimum 10 years of experience demonstrating exceptional leadership skills
- New York State medical license
