Role Description

We are seeking a motivated Environmental Scientist / Technician with 2-4 years of experience performing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with ASTM standards and Texas regulatory requirements. This position is ideal for someone who is detail oriented, enjoys fieldwork, and wants to grow within the environmental due diligence and remediation space.


Key Responsibilities

Phase I ESA Duties

  • Conduct site inspections and property reconnaissance.
  • Review historical sources (aerials, city directories, topographic maps, etc.).      
  • Review regulatory databases for environmental records.
  • Interview site contacts, property owners, and relevant agencies.
  • Identify Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs) and prepare clear, defensible findings.
  • Prepare complete Phase I ESA reports following ASTM E1527.


Phase II ESA Duties

  • Assist in planning and executing soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling events.
  • Oversee drilling operations, direct-push sampling, and monitoring well installation.
  • Collect soil, groundwater, and soil vapor samples in accordance with industry standards.
  • Perform field screening and document field notes, chain-of-custody, and sample logs.
  • Coordinate with certified laboratories for sample analysis.
  • Contribute to Phase II ESA reporting, including data interpretation and summary tables.


Preferred Skills:

  •  Experience with GPS/GIS data collection.
  •  TRRP (Texas Risk Reduction Program) familiarity.
  •  Experience with groundwater sampling techniques (low flow, bailers, etc.).
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (or willingness to obtain).

Department Information

After more than four years of planning and groundwork, the ambitious Tech Square Phase 3 (TS3) initiative is well underway. The general anesthesiologist will provide anesthetics at CaroMont Regional Medical Center and Belmont Hospital in the rural Charlotte area. The physician will not only work with patients, but provide medical supervision to certified registered nurse anesthetists in ensuring safe care with optimal outcomes. The physician will use various anesthesia techniques, including strong regional anesthesia, during a variety of general outpatient procedures and surgeries, and will adjust the plan accordingly. The physician will also monitor post-operative care to ensure a safe, quality recovery.

Will perform a wide variety of cases including CABG, valves, aortic dissections, TAVRs, TMVRs, laser led removals, Impella placement, and LVADs likely coming soon! Our cases are growing! This is a great opportunity to retain general skills as well and those cases include neuro, OB, ortho, ENT, healthy peds, GI, endo and general surgery. A cardiothoracic fellowship is required.   • Exports - Coordinate use of special pallets, arrange booking for delivery, request COA, complete customs paperwork and distribute as needed
  • Troubleshoot problem orders or discrepancies in inventory
  • Perform warehouse operations including shipping/receiving, inventory management
  • Maintain full knowledge of their job functions and duties
  • Be able & willing to step into any position when needed for job completion
  • Control and comply with all requirements for shipping hazardous materials including
    • Contacting forwarder to arrange shipments - compiling the booking information, DG forms, SDS, COA’s to send to said forwarders – and any additional paperwork they may require as different forwarders requirements vary
    • Creating new labels to apply to shipments/samples
    • Correct any issues as needed
    • Attending training for IATA, IMO and Hazmat in addition to keeping up with regulatory changes that occur in between the training
  • Advise Warehouse Group Leader and Manager of any problems or delays in shipments
  • Input batch numbers, part numbers, carriers and other pertinent information on bill of ladings
  • Print copies of BOLs for distribution to drivers
     

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required
  • IATA, IMDG and HAZMAT Certifications are required (IATA and IMDG training to be provided)
  • 3-5 years of experience driving in commercial activities is required
  • 3-5 years of experience shipping Hazmat materials is required (IATA and IMDG training to be provided)
  • 5-7 years of experience with Warehouse/Materials Management is required
  • Forklift experience is preferred 
  • SAP Knowledge is preferred
