The Senior Organizational Development and Training Specialist is an integral member of the Talent Development and Learning (TDL) team, contributing to initiatives that enhance leadership effectiveness and drive organizational success. This role focuses on executing and supporting organizational development and learning strategies, including culture transformation, talent optimization, and leadership capability building. Education Requirements

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $106108 - $159161 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The Scientific Computing and Data group at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai partners with scientists to accelerate scientific discovery. To achieve these aims, we support a cutting-edge high-performance computing and data ecosystem along with MD/PhD-level support for researchers. The group is composed of a high-performance computing team, the research clinical data warehouse team and a research data services team.

The Senior HPC Administrator, High Performance Computational and Data Ecosystem, is responsible for a computational and data science ecosystem for researchers at Mount Sinai. This ecosystem includes high-performance computing (HPC) systems, clinical research databases, and a software development infrastructure for local and national projects. To meet Sinai’s scientific and clinical goals, the Senior Administrator has a good technical understanding for computational, data and software development systems along with a strong focus on customer service for researchers. The HPC Senior Administrator is an expert troubleshooter and productive team member and leads projects to effective and efficient completion independently under little to no supervision. This position reports to the Director for Computational & Data Ecosystem in Scientific Computing. Specific responsibilities are listed below.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain Scientific Computing’s computational and data science ecosystem including ~30,000 cores with high bandwidth, low latency interconnects, GPUs, large shared memory nodes, databases, scientific workflows and 30+ petabytes of storage in production, clinical data warehouse and software development environment.
• Lead the troubleshooting, isolation and resolution of all technical issues including application, system, hardware, software, and network). Actively monitors the systems.
• Maintains, tunes and manages computational, data, cloud technologies and workflow systems for ISMMS researchers, scientists and their external collaborators. Defines and deploys a comprehensive computational and data vision. Identifies and communicates system advantages/disadvantages and tradeoffs.
• Designs, develops, implements system administration tasks, including hardware and software configuration, configuration management, system monitoring (including the development and maintenance of regression tests), usage reporting, system performance (file systems, scheduler, interconnect, high availability, etc.), security, networking and metrics, etc.
• Collaborates effectively with research and hospital system IT, compliance, HIPAA, security and other departments to ensure compliance with all regulations and Sinai policies.
• Participates in the integration of HPC resources with laboratory equipment such as sequencers, clinical and research data resources and systems, etc. Incorporate and link data and compute resources.

Qualifications:

The Lead HPC Architect, Cybersecurity, High Performance Computational and Data Ecosystem, is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the cybersecurity infrastructure and technical operations of Scientific Computing’s computational and data science ecosystem. This ecosystem includes a 25,000+ core and 40+ petabyte usable high-performance computing (HPC) systems, clinical research databases, and a software development infrastructure for local and national projects. The HPC system is the fastest in the world at any academic biomedical center (Top 500 list).

To meet Sinai’s scientific and clinical goals, the Lead brings a strategic, tactical and customer-focused vision to evolve the ecosystem to be continually more resilient, secure, scalable and productive for basic and translational biomedical research. The Lead combines deep technical expertise in cybersecurity, HPC systems, storage, networking, and software infrastructure with a strong focus on service, collaboration, and strategic planning for researchers and clinicians throughout the organization and beyond. The Lead is an expert troubleshooter, productive partner and leader of projects. Key Responsibilities:

HPC Cybersecurity & System Administration:

• Design, implement, and manage all cybersecurity operations within the HPC environment, ensuring alignment with industry standards (NIST, ISO, GDPR, HIPAA, CMMC, NYC Cyber Command, etc.).
• Implement best practices for data security, including but not limited to encryption (at rest, in transit, and in use), audit logging, access control, authentication control, configuration managements, secure enclaves, and confidential computing.
• Perform full-spectrum HPC system administration: installation, monitoring, maintenance, usage reporting, troubleshooting, backup and performance tuning across HPC applications, web service, database, job scheduler, networking, storage, computes, and hardware to optimize workload efficiency.
• Lead resolution of complex cybersecurity and system issues; provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members.

Technician - Mount Sinai Hospital Hemodialysis Unit

Mount Sinai Hospital hemodialysis unit is one of the few remaining hospital-based dialysis programs in the country. The hemodialysis unit has always been maintained by the hospital since the unit first opened in the 1960s.

The dialysis program currently includes dialysis services at Mount Sinai Hospital, Schwab rehabilitation hospital, and Holy Cross hospital. At Sinai, the services provided are outpatient and inpatient hemodialysis; at Schwab, inpatient hemodialysis; and at Holy Cross, inpatient hemodialysis.

The outpatient dialysis unit has 11 stations, serving four shifts of patients Monday through Saturday. There are two staff shifts. The inpatient unit has 4 stations and also provides bedside dialysis. Schwab has a 2-station unit and also provides bedside dialysis. Holy Cross has a 6-station unit and provides bedside dialysis as well. All acute services also are operational Monday through Saturday. The unit is closed on Sunday. Acute staff has on call responsibilities. Also, Mount Sinai hospital and Schwab are currently developing a stronger peritoneal dialysis program.

The staffing mix is approximately 60% RN and 40% certified hemodialysis technicians. The chronic staff work five, 8 hour shifts and the acute staff work four, 10 hour shifts.

Mount Sinai hospital has four nephrologists, all part of the Sinai health system. They are on site, responsive, and supportive of the dialysis staff.

We enjoy our independence functioning within a hospital system, as opposed to an outside management company. Our dialysis patients can more easily coordinate their other appointments and services along with their dialysis treatments here at Sinai. The unit also has practically no staff turnover. There are numerous learning opportunities from the different dialysis modalities as well as learning about all the equipment that is involved in preparing a safe dialysis treatment.

• Responsible for performing routine screening to complex diagnostic mammography as well as bone density studies at the direction of a physician, while adhering to patient safety guidelines and customer service values.
• Maintains superior knowledge of policy and procedures for the mammography department.
• Demonstrates effective business conduct through behavior/performance.
• Ability to rotate across the system including MSH, Lavillita which include shift flexibility as well as willing to cover PTO, call-ins and emergencies.
• Produces high quality mammograms for interpretation by the Radiologist.
• Prepares examination room, equipment and materials as needed for patients.
• Educates patient on breast health issues, demonstrates self breast examination techniques and provides the patient with a breast care pamphlet required by the ACR/FDA guidelines.
• Maintains daily, weekly, monthly and yearly QA reports for annual MQSA inspection.
• Maintains all mammography accreditation records and prepares department for annual inspection.
• Assist the Resource Coordinator and Lead Quality Mammography Technologist.
• Utilizes proper basic and advance positioning techniques as needed.
• Cleans and disinfects mammography unit and other equipment before and after patient use in accordance with the ACR/FDA guidelines.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is necessary.
• MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS: IDNS/IEMA, ARRT, CPR.

Job Description Summary:

Position Responsibilities

• Maintains the appropriate Licensure, credentials and registrations; including but not limited to licensure as Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) in the State of Florida and registration as Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Maintains expertise in medical nutrition therapy in general clinical practice.
• Performs calorie counts as requested and maintains accurate records daily of nutritional care activities, participates in patient tray assessments and meal rounds.
• Develops and implements medical nutrition care plans.
• Performs nutrition assessments and reassessments following departmental policies and procedures.
• Accurately calculates nutrient composition of enteral feedings and parenteral solutions.
• Monitors, evaluates, modifies & documents medical nutrition therapy following established policies and procedures.
• Initiates and follows up on nutrient intake analysis as needed.
• Provides counseling and education to patients and or significant others regarding medical nutrition therapy as needed.
• Develops and reviews educational materials for patients as needed.
• Precepts dietetic interns during clinical rotations: Leads clinical activities for dietetic interns to meet their education objectives, serves as a resources to dietetic interns regarding medical nutrition therapy, monitors and evaluates clinical performance of dietetic intern and reports dietetic interns' performance to Clinical Nutrition Manager.
• Communicates special needs of patients to diet office personnel through use of electronic food service system, email or discussion.
• Provides diet guidelines to Dietary Supervisors, diet clerks, and cooks.
• Voluntarily participates in community outreach programs when nutrition programs are requested.

Qualifications

• License/Registration/Certification
• Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Licensed, as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in the state of Florida. Only those seeking to become eligible for the registration examination for dietitians for the first time, on or after January 1, 2024, are required to have completed the minimum of a graduate degree granted by a USDE accredited institution or foreign equivalent. Individuals who established eligibility for the registration examination for dietitians on or before December 31, 2023 or those who are already registered will not be required by CDR to obtain a graduate degree.

• Education
• Master's Degree through an accredited institution by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND®), from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (applicable if seeking dietitian registration for the first time).

• Experience
• 0 to 2 years of experience, considering supervised practice, clinical experience is preferred.
