Unit Description: R6 is a 24 bed Medical Surgical unit. It specializes in Orthopedics, Trauma, and Stroke/Neurology. Included in our 24 beds, we have a 10 bed Joint Care Center, where they have their total joint replacement patients. Because we specialize in caring for shorter stay surgical patients, we tend to have one of the higher discharge/admission rates in our facility. We currently have a Full Time Night Shift position available.
On-Call: Not Required
Incentives: $10,000 Sign on bonus. Subject to tax withholdings and also prorated for any part time positions.

“As a nurse on the Progressive Care Unit, you can care for a wide range of moderately complex patients between two unique units, R3/R4. PCU provides advanced monitoring with sophisticated equipment, intensive treatments, and a team approach to promote wellness through assessment, monitoring, and education in critically ill patients. The Progressive Care nurse primarily treats patients with the following diagnosis: compromised airway requiring intensive respiratory therapy, controlled infusion of antiarrhythmic or vasoactive IV drug therapy, acute poisoning, suicide attempts, multisystem failure, neurologic abnormalities, metabolic crisis, multiple trauma, chest pain, myocardial infarction, heart failure, hemodynamic instability, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, post-anesthesia care, mechanical ventilation, cardiac monitoring, arrhythmia analysis, thrombolytic therapy, GI bleeding, internal/external pacing, electrical cardioversion, acute dialysis (peritoneal, hemodialysis) and post-cardiac arrest. Unit Description: R5 is a unit that specializes in Oncology and End of Life care. We work closely with our Palliative care team, whose office is located on R5. Oncology care ranges from, symptom management, radiation, Chemo (IV and oral), medication side effects and Oncological Emergencies. When starting on R5 you will not be required to hang IV chemo for the first 6 months to one year. When you become comfortable with the R5 population we will train you in chemo administration. We currently have a Full Time (36hr/wk) Night Shift position available.
On-Call: Not Required

- Physical dexterity required (the ability to move up to 45 lbs. from one area to another)
- Attendance and Punctuality a must
- Operating of cash register as needed and making change for other cashiers
- Basic Math skills
- Complete training certification
