Job Description Summary

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Interpret a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies, including MRI, CT, ultrasound, and X-ray, with a focus on body imaging
  • Provide accurate, timely, and high-quality radiologic interpretations to support patient diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Collaborate closely with referring physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Maintain proficiency in evolving imaging technologies, protocols, and best practices

This RN Educator position will be responsible for the following:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing Education and Professional Development (NEPD), Clinical Directors, Clinical Educators, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Nurse Managers and Assistant Nurse Managers to assess, plan, implement and evaluate orientation, in-service education, continuing education, and competency programs for predominantly Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) and occasionally to professional nursing staff.
  • Serves as a clinical resource to PCTs and professional nursing staff to integrate and maintain standards of care and collaborate with nursing leadership to develop unit based clinical competencies.

Qualifications include:
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional/leadership certification preferred (for example CNOR, CEN, NE-BC, other) within 2 years of hire and 2+ years acute care experience required; experience in a similar or 'like' unit is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management potential.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; BLS required based on organizational guidelines/polices. ACLS and PALS as required by department.
  • Certification in specialty preferred.

This position will be able to work alongside a team of physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, community health workers, and psychiatrists among others.

The Residency Program in Social Medicine has a long tradition of interdisciplinary collaboration and commitment to integration of a family, biopsychosocial, and social justice perspective to medical training and practice.

The candidate should have a solid and varied clinical background, familiarity with primary care settings and medical education, excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to address clinical problems from a family and sociocultural perspective.

Sensitivity and skills to work with underserved populations is a must.
