Position Summary: The Hospital Director of Pharmacy is responsible for leading and managing the hospital's pharmacy department. This role involves ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients while complying with all applicable regulations and standards. The Hospital Director of Pharmacy will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care provided.
Education, License & Cert:
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from and ACPE accredited institution required.
Current Licensure as a pharmacist in the state of New York for New York based hospitals and/or in the state of Pennsylvania for Pennsylvania based hospitals.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of progressive pharmacy experience in hospital pharmacy practice, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Demonstrated expertise in clinical pharmacy services, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement. Must exercise judgment affecting patients’ care and direct pharmacy personnel. Must be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with medical and nursing staffs.

- Develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and procedures to ensure high standards of cost-effective pharmaceutical care.
- Develop strategic departmental goals in alignment with organizational goals and accountability for those goals.
- Mentor, train, and evaluate performance of pharmacy staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensures maintenance of an adequate drug supply.
- Clinical and Pharmaceutical Services:- Ensure the safe and accurate dispensing of medications to patients.
- Collaborate with the medical staff to develop and implement medication therapy management programs.
- Monitor patient medication regimens and provide clinical consultations to healthcare providers.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and committees to enhance patient care.
- Regulatory Compliance:- Maintain compliance with all federal, state and local regulations related to pharmacy practice.

The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing and assisting participants with activities of daily living, restorative and supportive care necessary to the preservation of assisting participant’s in living independently in the community. - Personal hygiene such as skin, mouth, hair care and bathing/showering.
- Assists participants in and out of bed, assisting with ambulation.
- Assisting with prescribed exercise which participants and aide have been taught by appropriate personnel.
- Prepares meals, including therapeutic diets, assists participants with meals and feeding.
- Assist participants to the bathroom or in using commodes, bedpans, or urinals.
- Assisting participants with medications which are ordinarily self-administered.
Other duties taught by a health profession for a specific participant such as: taking of vitals, changing colostomy bags, changing of non-sterile dressing and non-sterile bowel and bladder hygiene care.
- Assists participants with Independent Activities of Daily Living (IADL’s) including but not limited to grocery shopping, cleaning, changing bed linens, laundry, meal preparation and other routine household care as assigned. - Follows all Senior CommUnity Care policies and procedures and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety guidelines.
- Maintains the confidentiality of all company procedures, results, and information about participants, clients or families.

Unit Summary:
The Medical-Surgical Overflow Unit (MSOU) is a dynamic, fast-paced environment designed to accommodate patients from various medical-surgical specialties when primary units reach capacity. As a Registered Nurse in the MSOU, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population, ensuring continuity and safety during transitions of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and respond to changes in patient conditions promptly.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies.

Position Overview: The purpose of this position is to provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to meet the needs of individual patients throughout assigned areas. Responsible for the collection and analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures. - Collects and processes specimens utilizing protocols and technical knowledge.
- Performs quality control, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting protocols to ensure proper functioning of instruments, reagents, procedures.
- Validates and delivers results of tests performed and assists with all technical troubleshooting and quality assurance issues.
- Follows established safety practices including biohazards, exposure control plan (blood-borne pathogens), infection control to include standard precautions, employee right to know (hazardous chemicals), and chemical hygiene standard and maintains required documentation for compliance with federal, state, and local, regulations.
- Assist with performing proficiency testing for each test to include corrective action when necessary.
- Develop and foster collaboration among clinical departments and affiliated services to ensure an integrated and coordinated approach to providing laboratory services and resolution of customer complaints or problems.
- Coordinate and perform all pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic laboratory activities in collaboration with the Laboratory Director and Technical Consultant
- Assist with patient care and other activities within the scope of state license and/or regulations. May include, but not limited to, phlebotomy, IV starts, initiating EKGs, vital signs, height and weight, intake and output, pulse oximetry and superficial wound care.
- Provide for patient safety related to age and condition
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times
- Provide and maintain a clean, safe environment and perform and/or assist others to perform proper aseptic technique, isolation procedures, and infection control measures
- Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge of the patient
- Prepare patients and chaperone during examinations/procedures or assists with other patient treatments
