Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking multiple Propulsion System Integration Engineers (Associate or Mid-Level) to join our Propulsion 787 Program Engineering team in North Charleston, South Carolina.

We are building a new engineering team focused on main engine integration, APU, and fuels systems, directly supporting 787 production and deliveries. These roles are focused on system integration of the engine, APU, fuel system, performing installation analysis and certification deliverables, and providing hands on factory/delivery support.Β  You’ll work across disciplines and with suppliers to keep 787 deliveries on schedule, resolve complex integration problems, meet customer commitments, and advance the safety, quality, and continued airworthiness of our products.Β  You’ll work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary, agile environment using modern tools and practices, with strong opportunities for technical development and potential for leadership growth.

Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate (Level 2) and Mid-Level (Level 3) Propulsion System Integration Engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed propulsion system, engine, APU, and fuel system integration and installation analyses to ensure safe, maintainable, and certifiable installations across airframe and propulsion interfaces (pylon, mount, nacelle, ducts, fuel/oil/hydraulic system, electrical, and control & indication systems).

  • Produce, review, and maintain engineering deliverables that preserve the certification basis and continued airworthiness of our aircraft.

  • Support qualification and demonstration testing (structural, thermal, vibration, endurance, fuel-system functional and leak testing); analyze test data and develop timely technical dispositions.

  • Troubleshoot production-line and delivery issues on-site in Charleston: support production holds, pre-delivery inspections, and delivery acceptance.

  • Investigate and resolve fleet/production/supplier issues (Service Requests, Non‑Conformances, Change Notices, etc.) to maintain flow and schedules.

  • Maintain and update configuration and requirements artifacts (specs, installation requirements, control documents).

  • Support safety and airworthiness activities: update system safety analyses, installation limitations, and airworthiness requirements related to propulsion and fuel systems as needed.

  • Operate under lead level supervision, work in a team/collaborative environment, and independently drive technical workflows to completion.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 2+ years of experience working in an engineering discipline application

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 3+ years specifically in propulsion engineering or engine/APU and fuel system integration

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex cross-domain problems (structures, systems, certification) and produce implementable solutions

  • Experience with configuration management and requirements artifacts (ENOVIA, CSDT, REDARS, ETAC, IVX/IVT, CATIA or similar tools)

  • Experience with supplier oversight, supplier drawing reviews, and managing supplier-initiated design modifications

  • Experience planning and executing qualification testing and developing test procedures/reports

  • Knowledge of RCCA/BPSM, fault trees, cause-mapping, and safety analyses

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to convey complex technical issues to multiple audiences

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is hiring Associate, Mid-Level, or Senior Manufacturing Engineers to support operations in Moses Lake, WA. Positions will support the 737 programs within the Interior Responsibility Center, Propulsions, or Electrical Systems Responsibility Center. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Integrate across engineering disciplines to drive producibility requirements into the design of aircraft electrical and mechanical systems using Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles.

  • Analyze and improve design/build concepts and collect and analyze production data to identify anomalies and investigate root causes when first-pass quality or production efficiency fall outside standards.

  • Drive innovative tooling and equipment requirements to enable earlier, more ergonomic, and more efficient installation and testing of electrical components.
  • Apply technical knowledge to design and develop manufacturing and assembly processes, tooling, fixtures, and procedures; assist in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.
  • Assist in implementing manufacturing plans, new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts across teams, including electrical systems design, equipment installation, and functional test.
  • Develop and implement process improvements using Lean production methodologies and assist in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.
  • Regularly engage with mechanics, electricians, suppliers, IPTs, and internal customers to identify and implement opportunities to improve the efficiency and reliability of the aircraft build plan and to develop products, skills, and knowledge.
  • Coordinate with production and design engineers across commodities to ensure integration of electrical systems with all other interfacing airplane components (structures, interiors, etc.).

This is a Production Engineering role requiring direct interface with people, parts, and equipment on the production floor. A typical day may include:

  • Spending extended periods on your feet (up to 8 hours), standing and walking on the production floor.
  • Climbing ladders or stairs to access equipment or airplane sections.
  • Working at heights or in confined/tight spaces.
  • Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead Engineering review of in-process inspection results, supplying data summary to perspective parties and initiating next steps for resolution.
  • Lead Production Readiness Review (PRR) meetings by managing document control of customer files prior to manufacturing release.
  • Support traveler/router development in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to assist Production & Quality readiness.
  • Develop, evaluate, and review manufacturing plans and set-up sheets in support of the manufacturing process.
  • Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for fixturing and process requirements.
  • Utilize SolidWorks to design work-holding, fixtures, and/or tooling to support Production, Engineering, & Quality functions.
  • Produce in-process 2D drawings to support critical manufacturing operations and inspection cadences.
  • Support Engineering Change Request (ECR) process by helping to manage new customer drawings and models to ensure revision compliance, updating the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system accordingly.
  • Define and maintain manufacturing processes by studying customer blueprints and testing manufacturing methods, tooling, and equipment.
  • Assist in developing new and editing existing policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance to ISO9001, AS9100, & ITAR regulations
  • Support non-conformance reporting (NCR) by leading root cause analysis meetings utilizing RCCA tools to identify root causes, and support Quality in outlining corrective actions to drive continuous improvement, supporting and completing corrective action items where appropriate.
  • Work cross functionally with Quality, Operations, and Production to detect, evaluate, and eliminate scrap, reducing the cost of manufacturing for the company.
  • Research, identify, and implement cost reduction and optimization opportunities within manufacturing facility through lean manufacturing principles.
  • Act as liaison with customers, vendors, and staff to answer inquiries, concerns, or complaints about outgoing product.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and instruction to manufacturing personnel on new machining procedures and processes.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite applications, SolidWorks and familiarity with Mastercam

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years related experience in a manufacturing environment; Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 2+ years’ experience in an AS9100 (Aerospace) environment.
  • Demonstrable Mastercam experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of GD&T & datum structure review - GD&T ASME Y14.5 - 2018 foundational level certification, or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.

The Boeing KC-46 Pegasus is the USAF's new aerial refueling tanker aircraft designed to support multi-role missions including refueling, cargo/passenger transport, and medevac airlift. Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a candidate to fill the position of KC-46 Support Integration Specialist (Mid-Level) for the sustainment programs in Tukwila, WA This role will be responsible for the capture and execution of these sustainment efforts.

The selected candidate will work across a wide variety of organizations, functions, suppliers, and business units. This role will work closely with the Support Integration teams.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Planning and technical Integration of the Integrated Product Support elements to support integration operations
  • SharePoint & Proposal Tracker Management, Reporting automation, Internal Integration across ISPM projects to consolidate data/provide leadership with total project overview
  • Support multiple Statements of Work (SOWs) within the KC-46 Support & Training Program
  • Develop business processes, standard operating procedures and overseeing business operations
  • Support Proposal Project Management Office: Developing and enforcing standardized methodologies, templates, and best practices to improve project performance across the organization
  • Reporting and Monitoring: Tracking project progress, milestones, budgets, and KPIs, providing senior leadership with consistent, up-to-date reports
  • Overseeing requirements and ensuring delivery of product through the various stages of the product lifecycle
  • Apply knowledge of customer processes to shape Boeing technical, material, and support products/services
  • Creates and leads presentations, status reviews, and monitors execution of support programs
  • Coordinate/Review/Analyze various data sets to develop charts in support of various leadership meetings
  • Support organizational growth strategic planning
  • Ability to work on-site 5 days per week

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3 years of product support experience
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally (engineering, program management, modification team, contracts and finance)
  • Experience managing, monitoring, and integrating product/ program lifecycle support activities to include support system analysis, spares, provisioning, technical data, training maintenance/modifications, support equipment and facilities.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with commercial derivative, vertical lift, or fighter aircraft platforms
  • Experience working across organizations and working with/managing suppliers and subcontractors
  • Experience in the aviation industry
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Military experience
