Overview:
Under the general supervision of the Physical Medicine Supervisor and according to standards of treatment, performs objective assessments as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for patients of all ages according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral.

Qualifications:
Education: Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology
Licensure: Current or provisional Speech Language Pathologist license in applicable State of practice
Certification:
Certification from American Speech and Hearing Association within 1 year of hire, extension at discretion of leader and clinical fellowship supervisor
BLS certified
Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently
Other: Must be able to respond to emergency situations
Preferred Experience: One year of experience. Experience in caring for patients of all ages preferred

The Medical A floor at Mercy Jefferson is a fast-paced 30-bed unit that cares for patients of all ages. Many of the patients are chronically ill and require multidiscipline treatment plans and goals. As part of the health care team, you will help educate patients on a wide variety of topics ranging from procedural/surgical expectations to what medications patients will be taking once discharged. Qualifications:
