Job Title: Pricing Actuary
Division: Finance - Actuarial
Reports To: Lead Pricing Actuary - Cyber & Executive Risks
Key Relationships: Underwriters and business managers, Beazley actuaries, Claims managers, Data Management and Ceded Reinsurance teams, regulators, external actuaries, brokers.
Job Summary: Actuarial pricing for the Cyber Risks Division and the Executive Risks classes (within the Specialty Risks Division) at Beazley
Key Responsibilities:
Technical
- Provide pricing support to the Cyber & Executive Risks underwriting teams at Beazley; pricing support includes (as required):
- Developing pricing tools that support the estimation of price adequacy and rate change
- Performing portfolio and transactional pricing analyses
- Performing segmental and trend analyses
- Performance monitoring (e.g. rate change and price adequacy metrics)
- Develop, maintain and review pricing models to the required standards
- Contribute effectively to the production of the relevant reports required for any key committees where required.
- Provide training to underwriters in pricing; this includes technical pricing and rate change requirements
- Understand and support the underwriting controls related to pricing and relevant regulatory principles
- Understand and apply the pricing quality assurance process
- Assist in other projects undertaken by the actuarial team e.g. liability transfer valuations and business planning analyses
- Operate as an effective team member by supporting colleagues and contributing in the delivery and achievement of overall team and business objectives
- Build your technical pricing skills and experience
- Provide support and mentoring to the junior members of the team
- Keep abreast of industry best practice, new initiatives and changes in regulatory requirements
- Build and maintain constructive working arrangements with those groups identified as being key to your role
- Work with the underwriters, exposure management, claims managers, Data Management and Ceded Reinsurance to ensure the quality and appropriateness of the data used for pricing; ensure the necessary data is captured from pricing tools to enhance future pricing capabilities
- Maintain pricing model documentation with required frequency, obtaining the appropriate managerial sign-offs
- Identify opportunities and contribute to delivering improvements in the pricing processes and methodologies
- Undertake professional, technical and career development training (delivered internally and externally); this includes pursuing the actuarial qualification where applicable

Role Overview
Under general supervision, the Sr. Accountant will collaborate with partners across the organization to:
Provide detailed reports, including profit/loss projections
Present financial reports and insights to internal leaders

Pay Transparency:

Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled assembler to perform a variety of tasks as assigned in conjunction with the assembly of our product. You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. This position is responsible for safely performing high-level continuous work to quality standards. - Plan, assign, and direct work in the laboratory. Serve as liaison with other areas as needed.
- Mentor and support direct reports in their responsibilities and functions. Identify and implement training programs as necessary to ensure they receive training in supervisory skill development.
- Define, coordinate, and monitor quality assurance programs and supervise activities of the department Quality Coordinator/Representative. Ensure quality control and compliance procedures are followed and QC reports are up to date. Oversee plans and preparations for inspections.
- Oversee staffing of all personnel in the laboratory. Effectively maintain quality staffing by interviewing, hiring, training, and providing staff development through performance evaluation and corrective counseling.
- Identify future needs in terms of staff, equipment, and facilities. Submit appropriate documentation for procurement of such.
- Review test performance, drive process improvements, and project management. Prepare and submit required reports to meet established deadlines.
- Manage test database. Ensure departmental standard operating procedures and database accurately reflect the current process.
- Coordinate R&D activities as they relate to operations and actively participate on subspecialty committees, corporate committees, and business unit committees as needed.
- Develop annual budget and manage department costs and resources to adhere to budget.

- Manage the preparation of bids and proposals for DOT, municipal, federal, marine, railroad, and private infrastructure projects.
- Analyze and review project plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, RFPs, and contract requirements.
- Generate comprehensive, itemized estimates, including projected future costs based on historical data.
- Perform or oversee detailed quantity takeoffs and cost modeling for labor, materials, equipment, trucking, and subcontracted work.
- Conduct pricing evaluations across multiple trades.
- Review bid documents, subcontractor proposals, and supplier quotes for scope alignment, accuracy, and specification compliance.
- Prepare and issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages to subcontractors and suppliers for permanent and construction materials.
- Evaluate production rates, means and methods, and constructability considerations.
- Collaborate with proposal manager, project managers, superintendents, engineers, owners, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with specialty subcontractors and material suppliers.
- Lead the preparation of written bid proposals and client presentations, including scope, pricing, and schedules.
- Ensure bids & proposals are submitted under the solicitation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Must possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) or be willing/eligible to obtain one upon hire. Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Experience: Ten (10) years of experience in estimating in the construction industry, with at least two (2) years of supervisory experience managing staff.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA): Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers. Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of estimating techniques and cost-control methods utilizing Heavy Bid. Must possess a thorough knowledge of bid proposals and preparations. Must have extensive knowledge of marine and/or heavy civil construction estimating, cost control, and project management. Extensive knowledge and experience with Heavy Bid, Primavera P6, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office products. Technical writing experience is strongly preferred.

Summary: The Financial Analyst is responsible for cost accounting activities with an emphasis on inventory management and cost analysis. This role includes preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly reporting, as well as supporting FP&A activities such as budgeting and forecasting. While fixed asset accounting (currently in FAS, transitioning to SAP) is part of the role, it represents a smaller portion of responsibilities. The position also involves quarterly SOX compliance tasks, ad hoc projects, and additional recurring responsibilities as time permits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and analyze inventory cost records and ensure accuracy of cost accounting processes.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to inventory and costing activities.
- Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations.
- Prepare various monthly inventory and costing reports.
- Perform job costing reporting and analysis, including weekly job closings and variance analysis.
- Coordinate annual physical inventories at all sites and support year-end inventory standards revision.
- Support cycle count processes by monitoring variances, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Perform quarterly LIFO and obsolete/slow-moving inventory reporting and analysis.
- Support FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to inventory and costing.
- Perform quarterly SOX compliance activities, including documentation, testing, and reporting for relevant controls.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations in FAS (transitioning to SAP).

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
