Summary:


The System Chief Medical Officer will be a leader in the creation of the “ideal patient experience,” by developing, implementing and monitoring systems and processes that ensure the highest quality of care, patient safety and evidence based medical standards are practiced at the Bon Secours Charity Health System; moreover, the VPMA will ensure that all programs are in compliance with JCAHO, HIPPA, and other accreditation bodies.


The CMO will also serve as one of the leaders of Clinical Transformation; a comprehensive inter-disciplinary approach to achieve care delivery excellence throughout the patient care continuum that measurably improves quality, creates holistic, patient centered care experiences, and reduces healthcare costs by reducing waste and optimizing the value proposition. This is done through the effective alignment of people, process and technology that enables and supports rapid cycle tests of innovation leading to creative, effective solutions.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop objective measures for core competencies for physicians’ as required by JCAHO and implement procedures for ongoing measurement and reporting. Lead and support the development of an innovative multi-specialty peer review and create process for ongoing evaluation and reporting.
  • Assume leadership for facilitating action plans for continually improving patient satisfaction & physician satisfaction scores.
  • Create and drive the vision for high quality care; in partnership with, Charity CEO, Good Samaritan EVP, CNE, and members of the Administrative team to lead “Clinical Transformation” initiatives in partnership with the BSHSI- HSO Chief Medical Officer and Chief Nursing Executive.
  • Develop physician champions prepared to implement EMR. Led the initiative to implement Connect Care order sets and clinical pathways.
  • Improve “physician to physician” communication and improve lines of communication between medical staff and administration.
  • In partnership with Chief Nurse Executive, create nurse/physician collaborative relationships.
  • Focus on physician governance issues: define role and responsibilities of Department Chairs and Medical Directors.
  • Take a leadership role in managing hospital based physician groups: (e.g. anesthesia, radiology, pathology, emergency department and hospitalist).


Qualifications/Requirements:


Experience: A minimum of 10 years of clinical practice with demonstrated achievement; a minimum of three (3) years in hospital medical staff leadership in the role(s) of Director of Patient Safety or Quality (for complex and multiple departments/units) or VPMA/ CMO experience in a similar sized hospital or system.


Experience monitoring and managing physician practice productivity and the peer review process.


Experience with Joint Commission and other regulatory bodies. Experience and/or training in medical administration; advanced degree/certification in business, medical management or similar field (MBA, MMM, MHA, etc.).


Education: A degree of Doctor of Medicine (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine may receive consideration) from an accredited and approved school of medicine, Board certified physician, with current state license or unencumbered eligibility (not excluded by the OIG) for license issued by the New York Board of Medicine


Licenses / Certifications: License to practice medicine in the State of New York.

We’re hiring   Event Emergency Medical Technicians (Event EMTs)that will respond to emergent and non-emergent requests for medical assistance and various other public safety concerns.  Event EMTs are expected to deliver high-quality patient care and customer service to event guests, venue and event staff in the most expedient, professional, safe, caring and cost-effective manner possible within the prescribed scope of practice, established protocols and company policies.  

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Ensures all event medical operations and activities are aligned with CrowdRx goals, strategic plans, and contractual obligations.  

  • Delivers on-site Basic Life Support (BLS) care in accordance with all applicable medical guidelines, protocols, scope of practice, and Company policies.  

  • Calmly, professionally, and effectively responds to requests for emergency medical assistance and public safety concerns within assigned venues or event areas.  

  • Conducts thorough patient assessments, recognizes changes in patient condition and provides appropriate emergency medical treatment often in high stress environments.

  • Communicates public health and safety concerns to venue staff and internal management as appropriate.  

  • Uses and operates communications systems, medical equipment, cleaning equipment, office equipment, and other tools necessary to perform assigned duties.  

  • Listens to and follows direction from Dispatch and provides timely updates regarding patient status, scene conditions, and response outcomes via radio or telephone.  

  • Completes, generates, and submits all required patient care reports, response documentation, and statistical data accurately and in accordance with Company policy.  

  • Maintains familiarity with and adheres to evolving medical treatment protocols, quality assurance standards, local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all Company policies.  

  • Maintains all required state certifications, licenses, and credentials necessary to perform EMT duties and remains current on continuing education requirements.  

  • Attends and completes all mandatory training sessions, in-service programs, and assigned Company training within required timeframes.  

  • Operates Company vehicles in accordance with Risk & Safety policies and applicable traffic laws, including those governing emergency response vehicles.

  • Immediately reports vehicle, equipment, or supply deficiencies, safety concerns, or unusual incidents to the Supervisor.  

  • Notifies Fleet Maintenance and/or Supervisor of any mechanical failures or equipment malfunctions.  

  • Monitors and maintains first aid rooms, medical stations, vehicles, and medical gear, ensuring all supplies are stocked, in-date, properly tagged, clean, and in good working order.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) at HCA Healthcare, you'll play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality care that puts patients first. Your clinical skills, attention to detail, and compassionate presence help create healing experiences and support a team that's committed to the care and improvement of human life.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing focused nursing care for patients with complex needs by administering medications, managing lines or drains, and assisting with interventions like cardiac monitoring or respiratory support
  • Closely observing patients for subtle changes in status - including shifts in heart rhythm, oxygen levels, or neurological signs - and escalating concerns quickly to support early intervention
  • Documenting timely, accurate updates that help the care team coordinate effectively in a high-acuity environment
  • Helping patients and families understand complex conditions and recovery steps with clarity and comfort
  • Working closely with RNs, providers, and specialists to stabilize patients and guide them through the transition from intensive care toward recovery
What qualifications you will need:


  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (LPN/LVN) Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse
  • Associate Degree, or Certificate, or Vocational School Graduate
