Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services within multiple school settings in the Orange City, FL area. This role offers the chance to support students across elementary and middle school environments with a dynamic schedule and a pathway to a full-time position next year.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver speech and language therapy services to students at Ormond Beach Elementary (3 days) and Pine Trail Elementary (1 day) with plans to transition to a 5-day role in the following school year.
* Provide services at Silver Sands Middle School for 4 days per week.
* Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
* Supervise Clinical Fellows as necessary, promoting professional growth.
* Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school district requirements.
* Start immediately and continue through June 5, 2026.
Qualifications:
* Current Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license is required.
* Bachelors degree applicants may be considered if willing to work under a temporary teaching certificate; SLPA licenses not accepted.
* Experience in school-based SLP services is preferred.
* Ability to work 37.5 hours per week across multiple locations.
* Commitment to student-centered therapy and collaboration.
Location: This position serves schools in Ormond Beach and Port Orange, Florida, within the Volusia County Public Schools district.
