Qualifications: • Valid Class A CDL required.

Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S.

This is a hands-on leadership role, guiding senior data engineers and collaborating closely with business teams to architect high-performing, compliant, and future-ready data ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities Lead the design and governance of enterprise-scale data architecture across Azure Databricks and SAP ECC/S4HANA systems.

Build and optimize Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers within the Databricks Lakehouse (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables).

Model core SAP domains (Finance, Logistics, Materials, Supply Chain) and data tables (ACDOCA, BKPF, BSEG, MARA, LIPS) into scalable, high-performing data models.

Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models and semantic/canonical layers to power enterprise BI and self-service analytics.

Oversee ingestion and transformation pipelines (batch + streaming) using tools like Fivetran, Informatica, ADF, dbt, or PySpark.

Define and enforce data governance, lineage, security, and masking standards leveraging Unity Catalog and best-in-class compliance (HIPAA, GDPR, PHI/PII).

Collaborate with business, analytics, and data science teams to align architecture with AI/ML and predictive analytics initiatives.

Partner with IT leadership on cloud cost optimization, performance tuning, and architecture strategy across Azure/AWS/GCP.

Qualifications 7+ years of experience in Data Architecture or Advanced Data Engineering at enterprise scale.

Proven hands-on expertise with Databricks Lakehouse, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.

Strong experience with SAP ECC/S4HANA data models (ACDOCA, BKPF, BSEG, MARA, LIPS) and related integrations.

Deep knowledge of SQL, Python, PySpark, and cloud ETL tools (ADF, Informatica, Fivetran, dbt).

Proficiency in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical), semantic/canonical layer design, and star/snowflake schemas.

Demonstrated leadership/mentorship of data engineering teams and collaboration with business stakeholders.

Experience in data governance, security, and lineage frameworks.

Cloud platform expertise (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP welcome).

Nice to Have: Familiarity with SAP BW, CDS Views, or data mesh concepts.

Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

Background in AI/ML or GenAI-enabled analytics.
