Avantor | NuSil is looking for a Quality Control Supervisor to join our team supporting manufacturing of high-purity silicone products. In this role you will provide leadership, technical, and strategic guidance, supporting quality operations for chemical manufacturing in an ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified environment.You will also drive and engage with continuous improvement activities to support the QC lab and overall business objectives.

What we're looking for

  • Education: High School completion or equivalent (GED) is required; Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or science related field is highly preferred

    • A proven leader, in a manufacturing and QC lab environment, that can contribute to maturing Quality functions, systems and risk-based processes to achieve business objectives
    • A quality, compliance, and business minded individual that values a growth mindset, partnerships, and collaboration

  • Ensure department documents and procedures are up to date and reflect current practice; revising procedures & processes when needed.
  • Performs investigations for laboratory out of specification results, safety related incidents and/or processes related to the QC laboratory.
  • Work with customers, regulatory agents and vendors during audits and site visits.
  • Understands regulatory requirements for 21 CFR820, ISO 17025, EXCiPACT, GLP, GMP including USP/EP general practices and procedures.
  • Proactively maintains current industry and regulatory knowledge for medical devices, ISO 17025, GMP principles and current analytical technology.
  • Assist in determining priority of urgent items and appropriate action plan to effectuate priority.
  • Approve rejections and rework actions as recommended by Quality Control Technicians.
  • Enforce prescribed safety rules and regulations; insure that work areas are maintained in a neat and orderly condition; perform safety and security procedures to open and close buildings and facilities.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)

Typically works in a lab environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level. At times, may be exposed to a variety of different chemicals including flammables, corrosives, oxidizers and others.

Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.

A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Create lighting for all game world environments when taking into account the requirements of gameplay, game narrative and game feel;
  • Collaborate with different team members such as level, mission, and narrative designers to present the perfect visuals and the resulting player experience;
  • Adjust in-game lighting according to the art directions and the requests of artists;
  • Make use of lighting system tools to streamline processes;
  • Create lighting for cutscenes, working alongside the Cinematic Director;
  • Teach other team members about the finer points of lighting in AAA game design.


Qualifications

We Expect You To Have:

  • Over 5 years working experience in lighting;
  • Participated in the production of at least 2 shipped AAA games in lighting role;
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5 and 3D softwares, especially Lumen in UE5;
  • Deep knowledge base in the art of lighting, including the use of light, color, source, brightness, and shadow;

Dependent coverage is optional and available at group rates to each employee. As Insight does contribute to an employee's major medical monthly premium, employees will pay a portion of their monthly premium. However, all dependents added to an employee's plan are paid solely by the employee. All employees working 30 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits. An employee's benefits will begin the first of the month following the 60-days of employment. Insight offers two different plan options (Bronze Plan and a Gold Plan) through Aetna. Insight wants all employees to feel valued and appreciated. This is why all employees enjoy having their birthday off, with pay. Insight believes that employees should have opportunities to enjoy time away from work to help balance their lives. Insight recognizes that employees have diverse needs for time off from work. After working for Insight for a full year, employees can receive five (5) days of paid time off (PTO). Insight Pest Solutions stays in compliance with states with sick time laws. Sick time is a wage benefit mandated by certain states. Under state law, sick time is recognized under Insight's paid time off (PTO) policy.

Employees who have worked for Insight for a full year will become eligible to receive holiday pay for the following observed holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Fourth of July
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

Insight Pest Solutions will ensure all technicians receive an assigned company vehicle to perform their job duties. As technicians are issued a company vehicle to perform their required duties, they must provide their own transportation to and from work if they have not been authorized to take the company vehicle home. An employee will likely be given the authorization to take a company vehicle home after 60-days of employment. The company pays all vehicle maintenance (oil changes, burnt out light bulbs, etc.). All company vehicles are assigned a gas card linked to that specific company vehicle. All company vehicles will include toll passage as well, also paid for by the company. Insight provides all the necessary tools and resources to ensure employees can perform the job duties assigned.

Performance review period: Seasonal review seasonal review period ends at the close of the summer.
