GOAL

• Maintain and grow The Company's portfolio by providing prompt customer service, ensuring quality standards and meeting determined profitability/sales goals.

MAIN OBJECTIVES:

• Maintain existing and onboard new clients
• Manage day to day operations for your assigned maintenance team and client base
• Make sure each crew is maintaining quality standards at their designated sites through proper education and training
• Proactive Customer Service- Customer inquiries must be answered within 24-48 hours
• Safety culture established and reinforced with the staff
• Grow division and maintain existing customer base – Customers for life
• Jobs come in on budgeted hours to produce profitability

RESPONSIBILITIES:

SALES

• Meet with new and existing customers on designated days to sell new work and upsell existing customers. Upsell goal is a min of 25% of main contract with higher hourly rates

OPERATIONS

• Coordinating with operations manager on a daily basis to make sure crews are sticking to schedule and completing work in set man hours determined for each job
• Daily-maintain and update your schedule for your crews and communicate to them during the pre-day prep at the end of the day.
• Ensuring quality standards on all properties and exceeding customers’ expectations
• Be in the yard am/pm helping crews get out of door in a timely manner and to reduce non-billable time
• Keep shop, yard and maintenance area clean and organized
• Answering and clarifying scope of jobs with crews for each day.
• Include proper tools needed, clear understanding of tasks to be accomplished and time allotted to complete the job (man-hours).
• At the end of each day:
• Review days’ work and approve all Aspire time. Include ALL materials used and delineate ALL over contract work with description, time used, and materials separate from regular work in “job notes”.
• Pre-day Prep-Preview tomorrow’s job assignments, tool, equipment and material needs. Crews to empty and load trucks for tomorrow before they leave for the day.
• Insure all truck DOT logs are being completed daily.
• Manage upkeep of maintenance tools and equipment and make sure in good, proper working order
• 1 on 1 with crew leaders weekly to make sure staying on task, timely completion of jobs and informed with any other issues that may arise
• Job costing of all jobs to make sure production remains profitable
• Communication devices – manage assigned e-mail, cell phone and landline to ensure customer requests are handled in a professional and timely manner
• Manage a snow area in the winter

Key Responsibilities

Customer Management:

• Oversee the transition from sales to production and manage project schedules.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, schematics, blueprints, contracts, etc.

SUMMARY:

Experienced, qualified, and dependable Class A or B truck drivers work closely with our landscape construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting, loading, and unloading equipment, hard goods, and plant material, ensuring all deliveries are accurate, secure, and handled safely. You will perform routine safety checks on vehicles and equipment, confirm that all components are operating properly, and promptly report any issues to Summerhill’s in-house mechanic.

This position requires an efficient, accountable professional with a clean driving record. Summerhill operates a fleet of new and well-maintained trucks, primarily equipped with automatic transmissions, and takes great pride in the appearance and cleanliness of our vehicles. Driving is local and primarily within Suffolk County.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate and drive assigned delivery vehicles in accordance with company and regulatory standards
• Operate vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs, including air-brake systems
• Drive tractor-trailers and tag trailers as required under Class A CDL
• Ensure trailer hitches are properly and securely attached to tractor units
• Secure all cargo within trucks or trailers to prevent damage or breakage
• Assist Summerhill team members with safe and efficient loading and unloading
• Plan and follow delivery routes using GPS to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, clients, and suppliers as needed
• Possess basic written and spoken English skills
• Plant knowledge is beneficial but not required
• Verify shipment contents against order documentation and report any discrepancies or damages to the main office
• Notify management of any significant vehicle maintenance, delivery, or pickup issues
• Conduct vehicle inspections before and after each trip
• Review weather conditions and road reports prior to departure
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure required safety equipment is onboard
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance (fueling, tire pressure checks, minor repairs, etc.)
• Maintain accurate driving and delivery logs
• Track and report working hours when time-clock access is unavailable
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and handbook guidelines
• Comply with all traffic laws and adjust driving for weather and road conditions, including local weight and height restrictions
• Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Class A or B CDL required
• Clean driving record with no moving violations
• Ability to report to East Hampton before 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday; Saturdays required during peak season
• Ability to work shifts of up to 12 hours
• Experience operating trucks equipped with Allison and Eaton Fuller transmissions
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Skilled, confident, and safety-focused driver
• Comfortable maneuvering and parking tractor-trailers
• Alert, detail-oriented, and able to remain focused for extended periods

OUTDOOR LIVING DRAFTSPERSON

South Tampa • Full-Time • $26–$32/hr (DOE)

WHO WE ARE

We are a full-service, custom design-build firm based in South Tampa, specializing in high-end outdoor living environments. From initial concept through construction and maintenance, we create, manage, and care for:

• Custom pools and water features
• Hardscapes and outdoor kitchens
• Pergolas, pavilions, and other outdoor structures
• Landscape design and installation

Our projects are often complex and highly customized. Team members must be comfortable in a collaborative, problem‑solving environment and able to think creatively around unique site constraints and design challenges.

THE ROLE

As our Outdoor Living Draftsperson, you will play a key role in turning conceptual designs into clear, buildable construction documents. You’ll work closely with designers, project managers, and city officials to ensure our plans are accurate, code‑compliant, and ready for permitting and construction.

For the right candidate, there is potential to grow into a hybrid Drafter/Designer role.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Collaborate with Designers, internal staff, and the City of Tampa during design and permitting
• Prepare detailed electronic plans, elevations, sections, and scaled drawings using AutoCAD and/or similar software
• Produce layout plans, details, takeoffs, and revisions for ongoing projects
• Assist in creating presentation packages, including renderings, perspectives, and elevations in a digital format
• Review drawings for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with current City of Tampa codes and zoning requirements
• Maintain organized drawing sets, digital files, and project documentation

WHAT YOU BRING

• Minimum 3 years of professional drafting experience
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD with demonstrated attention to detail in drafting and design
• Experience with Structure Studios, Pool Studio, or other 3D rendering software is a strong plus
• Familiarity with outdoor living, pool, landscape, or general construction principles is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset in a team design studio environment

COMPENSATION

• Hourly rate: $26–$32, commensurate with experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, implement, and execute year-round pruning schedule designed to maintain proper structure, aesthetics, and health of the trees
• Lead all aspects of plant health care operations at all SHL farms including monitoring, treatment schedule, diagnosis of plant health issues and soil testing and management
• Maintain topiary pruning regimen for selecting trees, including pleaching, pollarding, table-top and espalier pruning techniques for selecting plant material on all Summerhill properties
• Ensure all aspects of tree pruning and plant health care operations at SHL Farms are aligned with production, sales and project needs and specifications
• Issue reports on and communicate executed work weekly to SHL Farms and Senior Management and ensure open lines of communication regarding all aspects of SHL Farms arboricultural operations are clearly and consistently communicated
• Ensure pruning conforms to all ANSI-A300 pruning standards, and established, sound arboricultural practice
• Assist with progressive development of best practices for SHL farm maintenance regimen including developing advanced techniques for plant health care, weed control, cover crops, root pruning, soil management and soil mixes for production
• Maintain ISA Certified Arborist and relevant NYSDEC Pesticide Applicators License (1A and 3A)
• Ensure all pesticide applications at SHL Farms + Summerhill Landscapes + Summerhill Estate Care are tracked and reported per NYSDEC Law
• Manage others engaged in tree trimming work and train lower-level employees in sound arboricultural practices
• Ensuring safety and protection of all involved in pruning operations is executed to the highest standard, including overseeing weekly tailgate training sessions and necessary training in best practices for safe pruning operations
• Coordinate with the Senior Management team on the estimation of proposals
• Monitor the operation and maintenance of boom lifts, chippers, tractors, power saws, trucks, sprayers, and other equipment and tools to ensure proper use,
• Climb trees, using climbing hooks and belts, or climb ladders to gain access to work areas, as necessary
• Perform PHC treatment applications as needed.
• Ensure all PHC equipment is calibrated, clean and always maintained.
• Ensure all chemical storage inventory is kept up to date and in conjunction with NYSDEC regulations.
• Continuously research and work with vendors on improving product usage and rotation for optimum results in tree health and product costs.
• Participate in walkthroughs with select SHL + Farm clients to understand their goals for plant material health and aesthetics
