VP of Operations (Commercial Construction)

Location: Raleigh, NC - onsite 5 days per week
About the Company
Insight Global is looking for a VP of Operations for one of our large CM clients to support various Hospital, Healthcare, and Higher Ed projects in North Carolina.
About the Role
The VP of Operations will be helping manage the entire office, assist in business development, building relationships with clients, submitting bids, and managing subcontractor relationships.
Responsibilities
- Review budget and scope - timelines
- Establish operational procedures, reports, and documentation policies
- Establish the tiered levels of communication between the owner, architect, consultants, and the client.
- Establish procedures for tracking the clients application for payment.
- Establish policy with owner as to who will have authorization to direct and make decisions on the owner’s behalf, including reimbursement on changes.
- Review and present final construction schedule, including milestones.
- Establish accountability for schedule monitoring, priorities, recovery plans, etc.
- Establish safety and quality control programs.
- Review and present monthly Budget Reports.
- Establish procedure for handling time delays within the context of the client's contract.
- Establish change order procedures.
- Establish project reporting requirements and individual accountability.
- Establish schedule for O.A.B. Meetings.
- Establish schedule for Project Status Meetings.
Qualifications
- 15-20 years of experience in construction
- Previous Field-based experience required
- Strong relationships in the market
- Experience in managing large projects
- Ability to establish operational procedures
Preferred Skills
- Experience in healthcare and higher education projects
- Knowledge of safety and quality control programs
Pay range and compensation package
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law. Compensation: $190,000 - $220,000
