As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for the provision of computed tomographic radiographs to patients in accordance with physicians’ orders. * You will prepare patients for CT exam, explains procedure and ensure technical quality.
* You will promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education.
* You will possess knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to work accurately within the Imaging Department.
* You will work as a team player and meet the needs of the Imaging Department.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
* Associate Degree, Diploma or BSRT degree in Radiologic Technology is required.
* Current licensure by the Texas Department of Health as an MRT/TMB license is required.
* Current registration with ARRT(R)(CT) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) is required.
* American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification is required.

What You Will Do In This Role:
* You will be responsible for reviewing and completing appropriate paperwork on every patient as required including exam, scheduling, physician orders, department logs, imaging records, consents, medical records, and patient charges.
* You will be responsible for transporting patients to and from their rooms and ER.
* You will be responsible for monitoring the equipment for mechanical safety.
* You will be responsible for explaining procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
* You will be responsible for positioning patients on examining table and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified are of body requested by Physician.

Job Summary and QualificationsAssociate performs quality Diagnostic procedures in an accurately and timely manner. He/she operates Diagnostic equipment and processes images. Associate prepares patient’s procedure room, equipment, supplies and medication as indicated and delivers patient services using various imaging modalities. Associate practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed. He/she maintains safe environment for patients, visitors, staff and co- workers. Supports and helps achieve the departmental and hospital goals.What qualifications you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- (ARRT-CT) Computed Tomography must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- (ARRT-R) Radiography
- Must possess MRT from Texas Medical Board.
- Associate Degree
- Must be able to take a call restricted to a 30-minute response time if applicable and work on Hospital Holiday.
- Must have at least 1 years’ experience as an effective Technologist.
