Additional Job Specifics:
* On weekdays, the Adult Unit is staffed with 2 MDs, 2 APPs, and Residents. On weekends, the Adult Unit is staffed with 1 MD, 2 APPs, and Residents.
* Adult Unit sign-out: You will receive and provide sign-out on the psychiatry communication column on the epic census.
* Supervision: You must see and staff each patient the residents are assigned. You do not have to see each patient assigned to the APP, but you must staff each of their patients.
* IVC (Involuntary Commitment):
* For patients admitted as IVC, you must complete the 2nd exam within 24 hours of admit to the unit.
* For discharged patients, fax the rescind IVC form for each IVC patient to inform the court of their discharge.
* For patients admitted as voluntary but IVC during their admission, complete the first petition for IVC, and have another provider (or resident) complete the 2nd evaluation after the patient has been served by the sheriff. The AC can coordinate the faxing of the IVC petition and the serving of papers.

* Shall ensure that post-procedure orders are posted, and a warm handoff is made in case requiring post-procedure care.

You will be responsible for all testing and therapeutics that take place in the cath lab. These procedures include but are not limited to: cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker, tilt-table, angioplasty, stent, dialysis catheter, nephrostomy and ureteral tube, IVC filter, IABP, pericardiocentesis, and stress testing procedures.
- You will facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care.
- You will appropriate SBAR process for hand-off communication.
- You will assist the patient through all aspects of the procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure, patient monitoring, and hemostasis following removal of catheter or sheath, and return to room.
- You will manage emergent cases.
- You will maintain accurate, timely and compliant patient records and complete all paperwork associated with these procedures.
- You will prepare tests for physician interpretation.
- Current State of Idaho RN license in good standing

* TIPS and Kyphoplasty " required, Catheter placements and exchanges (tunneled and non-tunneled catheters), Drain placements including nephrostomy and biliary tubes, Biopsies (Liver, Lung, Kidney, lymph nodes, etc), Arterial interventions such as gastrointestinal and splenic embolizations and peripheral angioplasty, atherectomy, and stenting, Dialysis interventions (catheter placements, declot, fistulograms), IVC filter placements and removal, Paracentesis and thoracentesis, Gastrostomy tube placements and exchanges, enous interventions such as DVT/PE thrombolysis
* Daily activities: Weekdays 7:30 am until work is done, usually 6-7 pm. Perform all inpatient and outpatient procedures at the hospital (typically 10-16 per day). Perform inpatient consults and approve outpatient referrals. No diagnostic radiology or clinic responsibilities
Weeknights and Weekend: On-call from home or hotel. Overnight emergent cases are not common, i.e. less than 2-3 time per month. Typically perform 3-6 cases over the weekend that cannot wait until Monday (nephrostomy, drain, dialysis access, etc.)
