Chasing Indigo is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented team member to support daily retail operations, jewelry services, customer communication, and local events. This is a hands-on role in a creative retail environment with opportunity to grow into a full-time position as the business expands.

As the owner begins splitting time between Austin and the East Coast, we are looking for someone reliable and proactive who can help maintain smooth store operations while delivering an exceptional and welcoming guest experience.

What You’ll Do

Retail & Studio Operations

• Assist with opening and closing the shop and maintaining daily store operations

• Ensure the retail space is clean, organized, and visually aligned with brand standards

• Support inventory management, restocking, merchandising, and order fulfillment

• Deliver attentive, high-quality customer service and support in-store sales

Customer Experience & Administrative Support

• Respond to customer emails, inquiries, and service requests in a timely and professional manner

• Assist with scheduling and coordinating private events, charm bar bookings, and group experiences

• Support general administrative tasks

• Help maintain strong customer relationships through thoughtful communication

Jewelry Services & Production (training provided)

• Create and assemble jewelry pieces including charm bar experiences

• Perform permanent jewelry services

• Work with small tools, delicate chains, gemstones, and detailed components

• Maintain precision and craftsmanship while fulfilling custom and in-house orders

Product Knowledge & Styling

• Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of Chasing Indigo products, materials, pricing, and brand story

• Confidently educate guests on gemstone meanings, jewelry care, and styling recommendations

• Provide personalized styling guidance to enhance the guest experience and support sales

Events & Pop-Ups

• Assist in coordinating and hosting in-store events and private bookings

• Prepare materials and help execute charm bar parties, workshops, and activations

• Participate in local markets and pop-ups including booth setup, sales, and breakdown

• Safely transport event materials, display fixtures, and jewelry inventory

Role Requirements

• Weekend availability is required for retail coverage and events

• Must have a reliable personal vehicle that can be used to transport pop-up materials and event supplies

• Prior retail, boutique, jewelry, or customer-facing experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent fine motor skills and comfort working with very small, delicate materials

• Comfortable with (or eager to learn) jewelry-making and permanent jewelry welding
• Loves hosting, connecting with people, and bringing positive energy into the space
• Entrepreneurial-minded—ready to grow with a business.
• A creative, self-starter with strong organizational and leadership skills

• Ability to focus on precision tasks such as jewelry assembly and welding services

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer correspondence

• Positive, professional demeanor and comfort engaging with guests

• Self-motivated and capable of managing responsibilities with minimal supervision
