We are seeking a passionate and experienced Family Medicine Faculty Physician with Surgical Obstetrics Fellowship training (or equivalent experience) to join our academic team. This is a unique opportunity to play a foundational role in launching our new Family Medicine Obstetrics Fellowship Program —a mission-driven initiative focused on improving maternal care in underserved rural communities.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as core faculty in our Family Medicine Residency Program, with a focus on teaching obstetrical care to residents and fellows.

The Department of Medicine's Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine (PACCS) seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor faculty on the Academic or Clinician Track with clinical focus on Lung Transplantation. As a Division, with more than 80 faculty based at four principal hospital sites, we proudly feature nationally recognized programs and leaders in Interstitial Lung Disease, COPD, Lung Transplantation, Critical Care Medicine (Respiratory Failure & ARDS), Cystic Fibrosis, Interventional Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine. We strive to find new treatments and cures for diseases in these areas through basic, clinical and ‘big data’ research, while working to prevent respiratory illness. We partner with faculty across the University and colleagues in the community in our research, clinical, education and training efforts.
Primary Responsibilities include:
This academic track faculty member will devote at least 85% effort (90% or 95% for Clinician Track) to providing high quality clinical care in order to fill a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or above ( in the Academic Track or Clinician Scholar track). The remaining effort will be dedicated to education and collaborative research activities with the expectation of demonstrated accomplishments consistent with promotion in the academic track (an average of at least one publication per year, for example). The clinical effort predominantly will be at the University of Minnesota Medical Center and Clinics and Surgery and Center, and University of Minnesota’s East Bank Hospital.
The faculty will participate actively and contribute to PACCS Division and Department of Medicine academic and clinical programs. Those with a primary clinical focus and particular interest in lung transplantation are encouraged to apply.
This position is ideal for clinically adept pulmonologist-intensivists who are interested in building an academic program that promotes high quality care with associated scholarship while interacting with colleagues and developing creative research and/or educational programs.
It is strongly encouraged that faculty develop an area of focus and expertise, gradually developing a regional and then national reputation. Faculty would participate actively in the relevant multi-disciplinary programs. Clinical effort may be reduced with participation in salary-supported activities (research, program leadership, etc). Active participation in the Division's clinical and research conferences, journal club and core curriculum lectures and teaching of students, residents and fellows is expected. Experience and skills in education and/or clinical research are desirable.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have an M.D. and be ABIM certified or eligible in both Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Candidates should have high quality training in Pulmonary and Critical Care and be considered as excellent physicians and role models for trainees. Candidates should have experience in academic research and/or educational activities with a high likelihood of ongoing achievement.
Applicants must have the ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA category while in the United States.
Pay and Benefits:
This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range for this position is $272,669 - $411,672 commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE.? The Emory University Division of Palliative Medicine is seeking a full-time Academic Palliative Medicine Physicians to join the faculty of Emory University School of Medicine in a comprehensive Palliative Care Program which provides inpatient consultation, outpatient palliative and supportive care, and hospice care to adult patients living with serious illness in a comprehensive, interdisciplinary care model across seven hospitals and 4 outpatient clinics. As an Emergency Physician, you will provide emergency medical care to patients at our four Health First Brevard County Hospitals and at future free-standing emergency rooms. This is a pivotal role within a physician-owned organization that provides seamless care to both adult and pediatric patients. As the ED Physician, you will provide clinical oversight of Emergency Department patients assigned to care, as well as collaborate with hospital staff working in the Emergency Department during the shift.

SUMMARY OF SERVICE DELIVERY EXPECTATIONS:
- Serve as a physician for Emergency Department patients with oversight of care for assigned patients during assigned shifts.
- Assess, plan, and direct care of assigned patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing and imaging as appropriate.
- Coordinate home care needs/orders with unit nursing staff/Case managers.
- Perform documentation of services provided and clinical course for Emergency Department patients in the electronic health record (EPIC).
- Coordinate hospital admission of patients with NP/PA-C, MD Hospitalist service. Document Bridge orders for patients being admitted to the hospital.
- Coordinate transfers of patients to a higher level of care when needed, obtaining an accepting physician at the transfer facility
- Provide medical screening exams to patients presenting to the Emergency Department. Performing medical evaluations and formulating a differential diagnosis and treatment plan for urgent and emergent care within the scope of emergency medicine.Leading the medical management of the patients in our emergency departments by working closely with a team of AHPs, nurses, and technicians.Documenting your clinical evaluation and treatment in the electronic health record.
- Working closely with the Medical Director and other clinical team members to ensure all policies are adhered to and that you deliver quality care in an innovative setting.
- Ensuring best practices are followed so patients and family members are comfortable, patiently and professionally answering any questions they have, and using patient-centered empathetic communication at all times.
- Contribute to team effort by working collaboratively.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Have successfully completed and graduated from an accredited MD program and have completed all clinical requirements and Residency.

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Emergency Medicine.
- ATLS, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
- DEA license required.
- Excellent clinical care and patient satisfaction in the emergency department
- Emergency Medicine, Board Certified or eligible (Required)
