The Assembly Technician Level 2 assumes responsibility for magnetizing, demagnetizing, and assembling a wide spectrum of assemblies, from basic to intricate, with minimal supervision. This role undertakes tasks directly associated with assembling complex and detailed magnet assemblies, primarily within controlled, clean-room environments.

  • Develop Comprehensive Knowledge:

    • Acquire in-depth knowledge of production processes, equipment, materials, and product specifications.
    • Set-up, Operate, and Test Production Equipment:
    • Proficiently set up, operate, test, and troubleshoot various production equipment to ensure optimal functionality.


  • Adherence to Tolerances and Equipment Adjustment:
    • Strictly adhere to established tolerances and adeptly adjust machinery as needed for efficient operation.


  • Reading and Interpretation of Technical Documentation:
    • Read and interpret basic drawings, schematics, bills of material, and technical documents with precision.


  • Diagnose and Perform Basic Equipment Repairs:
    • Identify and resolve issues by diagnosing and performing basic repairs on mechanical equipment and instruments.


  • Operation of Hand and Power Tools:
    • Efficiently operate power and manual hand tools essential for production activities.


  • Blueprint Understanding and Utilization:
    • Demonstrate proficiency in comprehending blueprints, drawings, manuals, catalogues, schematics, or prints.


  • Proficiency in Tool Usage:
    • Skillfully use powered and manual hand tools, including soldering iron, multimeter, wrench, hammer, screwdriver, etc.


  • Troubleshooting and Repair Experience:
    • Apply previous experience in troubleshooting and repairing production tooling, equipment, and testing machinery.


  • Understanding of Production Processes and Quality Control:
    • Apply a comprehensive understanding of production processes, quality control techniques, and strategies to optimize product manufacture.


  • Additional Assigned Duties:
    • Perform any other assigned duties as necessary to support production and operational requirements.



Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; additional certification in mechanical assembly or an Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of technical proficiency and adherence to standards.
  • Must be able to push and pull materials weighing between 50-70 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills and accurate data entry ability required.

Salary Range: $27.35 - $31.87/hourly
