The ME/IE Manager is the “site technology leader” of Jabil’s manufacturing processes and systems, which is designed to deliver superior performance and operational efficiency. The ME/IE Manager supports Operation’s business development effort with current and potential customers, and development / implementation of both site a global ME/IE strategies. Responsible for the establishment of optional manufacturing methods and processes for the organization’s production lines. Lead and motivate a large group of Engineers whose primary responsibility is to define and implement complete manufacturing processes. Provides ongoing review of the effective utilization of equipment, production methods, equipment layout, personnel, and material flow. LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and Retention:
· Recruit, interview and hire Industrial Engineers, Process, Manufacturing and Project Engineers.
· Communicate criteria to recruiters for Industrial Engineers, Process, Manufacturing and Project Engineer position candidates.
· Coach Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing and Process Engineering staff in the interviewing/hiring process.
· Monitor team member turnover; identify key factors that can be improved; make improvements.
Employee and Team Development:
· Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis.
· Create and/or validate training curriculum in area of responsibility.
· Coach and mentor Industrial Engineering staff to deliver excellence to every internal and external customer.
· Create and manage succession plans for Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering function.
Performance Management:
· Establish clear measurable goals and objectives by which to determine individual and team results (i.e. operational metrics, results against project timelines, training documentation, attendance records, knowledge of operational roles and responsibilities, personal development goals).
· Solicit ongoing feedback from Workcell Manager (WCM), Business Unit Manager (BUM), peers and team member on team member’s contribution to the Workcell team. Provide coaching and counseling to team member based on feedback.
· Express pride in staff and encourage them to feel good about their accomplishments.
· Perform team member evaluations professionally and on time.
· Drive individuals and the team to continuously improve in key operational metrics and the achievement of the organizational goals.
· Coordinate activities of large teams and keep them focused in times of crises.

· Know and understand Corporate, Campus and Global PE, IE, & ME tactical and strategic direction.
· Define, develop and implement a Process Engineering & Industrial Engineering strategy which contributes to the campus strategic directions.
· Develop an understanding of the Workcell business strategy as it pertains to Industrial & Process Engineering.
· Provide regular updates to BUM, WCM, and Operations Manager on the execution of the strategy.
· Manage technical support globally to sustain Corporate Intranet Site worldwide growth strategy as needed.
Cost Management:
· Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value-added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).
· Utilize tools to monitor departmental cost and cost trends, striving continuously to improve value.
· Provide feedback to peers (BUMs, WCMs, Functional Managers (FMs) on cost and cost trends.
Forecast Development and Accuracy:
· Prepare timely forecasts for the department.
· Compare forward forecast results to historical actual results for trend assessment and analysis.
· Anticipate future headcount requirements based on open Bays and projected business.
TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
· Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management.
· Assess the adequacy of data gathering methods utilized by the workcells.
· Assure that procedures and work instructions are efficient and not redundant.
· Prepare quotes for new and potential customers.
· Forecast future requirements and technical trends to drive gear suppliers in their technology roadmap.
· Verify reconfiguration requirements and monitor line moves.
· Lead equipment evaluations. Assure measurement criteria meet all Jabil site requirements worldwide.
· Explore and monitor new processes and procedures to support customer’s expanding requirements on cutting edge technology and product densification.
· Assist Project and Design Engineers with Design for Manufacturability issues.
· Assure that procedures and work instructions are efficient and not redundant.
· Utilize Jabil’s Advanced Engineering group to ensure useful support to Jabil South.
· Establish new measurement systems if/where possible.
· Offer new ideas and suggestions for improvement. Identify and implement new practices and processes that are “best in field.”
· Drive the concept of an IE being an “Integration Engineer” that ensures everything works smoothly to guarantee efficient and high quality processes that translate into high customer satisfaction and revenues for Jabil.

· Periodically “get down in the trenches” to rehabilitate troubled workcells or to help during product launch. Foster a “back to basics” mentality during these times. Lead by example; “walk the talk.”

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Extensive knowledge of Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering philosophies and processes. Proven track record in communication, leadership, business analysis, process development, administration, and change management. Bachelor’s degree preferred with 3-5 years of related experience in the electronics manufacturing industry; 2-3 years of supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
You will act as the Staff Mechanical Engineering Owner’s Representative with technical expertise for mechanical engineering issues, design management of in-house and outside resources, code compliance, Disney design standards, documentation, specifications, and life cycle cost analysis for best value. This role also involves close collaboration with other engineering disciplines and multiple Disney project teams including FAM, WDI, Entertainment, and Operations.
You will report to the Senior Manager for MEP Engineering with DLR Architecture & Facilities Engineering.
Act as Owner’s Representative on projects from concept through construction at the Disneyland Resort. Project types will include shops, rides, hotels, shows, maintenance facilities, and nearly any built facility and area development found on our property.
Manage the design and development of contract documents of projects with in-house and outside resources to meet project scopes, schedules and budgets.
Attend, participate, and problem solve during site visits from concept through construction.
Review drawings and specifications and ensure that all projects are designed and executed to applicable codes and statutes
Work with stakeholders to provide civil engineering resources to develop project scope including design, planning and code compliance for estimation and feasibility.
Develop clear technical analyses and recommend frameworks to inform executive review and approval.
Liaison with City officials and external agencies to ensure project scope and implementation is coordinated and compliant with external requirements.
Perform field work to investigate and assess mechanical related infrastructure in the Resort.
Review shop drawing submittals and respond to vendor requests for information per Resort standards.
Coordinate design activities and monitor field installations and demolition work that comply with specifications and code requirements.
Serve as Engineer of Record on assigned projects, including signing and sealing construction documents when required.
Assist Project and Design Managers to resolve design compliance issues relating to Projects requirements. Support Executive Design Reviews by contributing technical content, analysis, and coordination as requested by Project or Design Management.
10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design, HVAC/DX/VRF/CHW applications, central plant development and operational guidance, hydraulics, hydronics, compressed air, overall kitchen designs and implementation.
~ Ability to support project partners in procurement and construction.
~ Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, ACC, and other engineering-based software.
~ Working knowledge of both National and Local Standards and Codes.
BS Mechanical Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited university.
Current registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of California in good standing.

Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
Electronics manufacturing and HW testing background highly desired
Ability to understand schematics
Contribute to development of DOE's and data gathering to resolve ongoing failure trends

Jabil is seeking a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Test Development for our Austin, TX location who will directly contribute to the transformative growth within our Intelligent Infrastructure division by applying unique and innovative approaches to developing end customer product solutions.
You will be responsible for managing the technical direction of Rack scale test software and integration development programs through the lens of the customer, factory, and services. LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for ensuring the delivery of all manufacturing test solutions for new and sustaining programs for rack-scale AI/ML and GPGPU and hardware accelerator-based server and storage platforms.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Primary technical interface for manufacturing rack test development efforts from concept through delivery.
- Own driving resolution of all issues regarding test solutions aligned with critical path.
- Reviewer and approver of technical risks, and contingency/mitigation plans.
- Can review and provide input to material plans, test plans, test reports, lessons learned.
- Owns preventative actions so gaps in E2E process or capability are addressed long-term.
- Accountable for managing manufacturing technical and quality excursions through indirect coordination and hands-on engineering analysis as it pertains to your test deliverables.
- Provide technical and product subject matter expertise to the factories and customers.
- Lead highly technical and innovative RFI/RFQ responses supporting new strategic and recurring business opportunities.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Strong technical program management skills. Able to lead and direct a broad cross-functional global team.
- Exceptional knowledge and experience regarding product development processes and tools.
- Experience and deep level of understanding of server, storage, networking and GPGPU and PCIe-based accelerator architectures.
- Working knowledge of OS, driver, firmware and hardware architecture, device interactions and ability to leverage expertise to determine root cause that lead to optimized solutions.
- Deep experience in process development and process improvement. Able to lead the development of complex processes spanning multiple functions and areas of expertise.
What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?
- BS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field is required; MS is preferred.
- 8+ years' experience in a software or hardware product development environment with enterprise server, storage or networking products is required.

Position Overview:
This role will be responsible for leading the system safety efforts for Avionics systems throughout the lifecycle of the program, ensuring compliance with safety standards, integration of safety designs and analysis throughout the Avionics platform, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. We're seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Heat Treat Process Engineering Supervisor to lead and support all aspects of the heat treatment operations with a focus on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Heat Treat Process Engineering Supervisor serves as a technical expert responsible for ensuring the proper thermal processing of materials to meet metallurgical and production requirements meeting all CQI-9 requirements. This role includes overseeing furnace operations, audits, documentation, process control, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have strong metallurgical knowledge, heat treat process experience, the ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues, and the ability to manage compliance in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role has direct supervisory responsibility for Lab Technicians, including scheduling, performance management, training, and ensuring compliance with laboratory testing standards and metallurgical validation requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Complete):
- Oversee and manage daily heat treat operations including carburizing, hardening, tempering, and stress relieving
- Ensure compliance with AIAG CQI-9: Heat Treat System Assessment (HTSA) and other applicable standards
- Implement and maintain heat treat process control plans per AIAG guidelines
- Conduct and lead CQI-9 self-assessments, audits, and ensure closure of gaps and non-conformances
- Ensure proper setup, calibration, and operation of furnaces and quench systems
- Monitor thermal cycles and maintain control charts, pyrometry data, and process records per CQI-9
- Support system accuracy tests (SAT), temperature uniformity surveys (TUS), and instrumentation calibration activities
- Ensure all documentation meets internal and customer-specific AIAG compliance requirements
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality to address process improvements and problem-solving
- Perform metallurgical inspections including hardness testing and microstructure verification
- Provide technical guidance to operators and maintenance personnel on best practices
- Develop and optimize heat treat process parameters including atmosphere control, quench severity, and thermal cycle design to meet metallurgical and dimensional requirements
- Atmosphere verification (Carbon Potential, Dew Point, etc.)
- Distortion Mitigation Strategy
- Develop, implement, and maintain training programs to ensure team competency on heat treat systems and compliance
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for heat treat-related non-conformities
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma principles to drive cost reduction, efficiency, and quality improvements
- Maintain proper traceability and process documentation for internal and external audits
- Provide technical direction for furnace troubleshooting, repair validation, and upgrade initiatives in coordination with Maintenance
- Perform other duties as assigned or required in support of production and quality goals
- Directly supervise Lab Technicians, including daily work assignments and workload balancing
- Approve timecards, PTO, and manage attendance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

- Working knowledge of CQI-9 audits, checklists, gap closures, and AIAG documentation practices
- Familiarity with control system troubleshooting, PLCs, HMIs, and data logging
- Ability to supervise, mentor, and train heat treat personnel on compliance, safety, and process controls
- Skilled in conducting microstructure analysis and hardness testing to validate process results
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills for always maintaining audit-readiness
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Continuous Improvement
- Physically capable of working in a high-temperature, industrial environment

WORKING ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- Work involves exposure to high-temperature equipment, hot surfaces, and industrial environments. May encounter fumes, noise, and moving machinery. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including heat-resistant gloves, face protection, and hearing protection, is required. Occasional exposure to quenchants, chemicals, and elevated platforms is expected. Safety training and environmental awareness are critical components of the role.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Manufacturing Engineering required.
- Materials Science or Metallurgical Engineering preferred
- 7+ years of hands-on heat treat or metallurgical experience, preferably in automotive or aerospace manufacturing
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of CQI-9 Heat Treat System Assessment requirements
- Familiarity with AIAG standards and automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
- Experience conducting and documenting SAT, TUS, and other pyrometry-related activities
- Experience operating batch and continuous furnaces, quench systems, and thermal processing equipment
- Demonstrates ability to directly supervise lab personnel including assigning work, evaluating performance, managing corrective actions, and developing team capabilities.
- Creates accountability, enforces standards, and drives measurable performance improvements.
- Proficient in hardness testing, blueprint reading, GD&T, and metallurgical inspection techniques
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and plant data collection systems
