The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) - Phantom Works organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer to serve as the Signature Assurance and Verification Lead.

This role is pivotal in leading the Signature Assessment and Verification (SAV) team for a new Air Dominance Program in St. Louis, Missouri.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in enabling stealth performance of advanced platforms through effective manufacturing and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the SAV team, ensuring effective collaboration and performance.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the EM QA multi-discipline team to uphold quality assurance standards.

• Process Development: Develop and validate processes utilizing diagnostic equipment for signature verification.

• Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct developmental testing, debugging, and troubleshooting for signature verification methods.

• Quality Assurance Criteria: Define and establish QA test criteria for all signature verification tests.

• Quality Review: Review work instructions for quality assurance and witness part conformance to standards.

• Testing Oversight: Oversee QA testing and acceptance processes, ensuring compliance with specifications.

• Data Management: Track signature verification tests and maintain comprehensive signature data test records.

• System Level Correlation: Correlate and assess verification at the system level to validate lower system level tests.

• Non-Conformance Management: Provide review dispositions for non-conformances and analyze trends to evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions.

• System Development: Assist in the development of a signature assessment system, including software and methodologies.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

• Experience: Proven experience in signature assessment, verification engineering, or a related discipline.

• 7+ years of relevant Low Observables design, integration, test or maintenance experience

The VMS senior manager leads a multi-disciplined team to define, procure, develop, integrate and test an air vehicle VMS. The VMS team is responsible for requirements definition, verification, and validation; hardware selection and integration; VMS software development; and integrated testing in the laboratory and on the final product. The manager will also coordinate with mission systems software, central maintenance software, GN&C, and subsystems managers on program to ensure the integrated VMS product meets requirements. The VMS Leader will also ensure alignment with other portfolio programs on hardware strategies and standards as appropriate. Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a LeadMission SystemFlying Test Bed (FTB) Engineer in Berkeley, MO, supporting an Air Dominance Fixed Wing Proprietary Program. You will be joining a fast-paced program where you will be responsible for integrating and testing advanced tactical sensors onboard three flying test beds. Your work will include developing and planning tests, coordinating FTB modifications, and executing flight tests.

In this role, you will be joining a cross-functional team integrating next generation capabilities as part of a very exciting and critically important development effort. You will have the opportunity to operate in an agile development environment, mature our products through the development lifecycle, work on next generation open-architecture model-based designs, and collaborate across multiple disciplines.

The day-to-day activities of this position will be a combination of traditional design engineering, collaborating with cross-functional peers, and presenting technical challenges and solutions to leadership. Frequent interaction with program leadership, customers, and industry partners during critical design phases will be key elements of this position. This position will provide the candidate an opportunity to develop their engineering skills with potential growth into a leadership role.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of test plans to support key flight test risk reduction activities

• Lead a team of test engineers and provide technical guidance to team members to ensure FTB milestones are executed according to plan

• Lead the execution of flight tests to characterize mission systems sensor performance

• Coordinate with multiple disciplines to define FTB modifications needed to integrate advanced tactical sensors

• Coordinate with Boeing, Test, and Evaluation and Tactical Sensors SMEs to ensure all development activities support the FTB schedule

• Participate in customer led Combined Test Force (CTF) to support system verification and inform customer decisions and milestones

• Manage and monitor team and supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements

• Utilize Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for test planning, defining test configurations, and documenting test traceability

• Lead hardware and software development, integration, test, and validation/verification

• Address FTB design/integration problems as they arise and coordinate with technology domain experts and suppliers as necessary

• Experience with high assurance/safe languages and standards (Ada/SPARK, Rust, MISRA C/C++)
• Exposure to formal methods, model checking, MBSE (SysML), or model-based verification tools
• Experience building CI/CD and HIL test automation for embedded platforms, including trace-based observability tools (LTTng, Tracealyzer) and hardware performance counters
• Background in cryptography, secure boot, TPM/SE integration, and PKI for embedded/edge devices
• Experience integrating FPGA/accelerators for latency-sensitive offload
• Leadership and mentoring ability; comfortable collaborating across multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication skills for customer engagements, design reviews, and vendor interactions
• Practical experience integrating separation kernels/hypervisors (seL4, PikeOS, ARINC‑653, VxWorks 653) and implementing high‑assurance cross‑domain gateways or data‑diodes, including isolation validation and accreditation artifacts.
