  • Keep the character’s safety in mind at all times. This may include providing a safe walking space through the park, both onstage and backstage, maintaining a safe space between the character and guests, keeping track of each appearance’s duration and physical condition of the performer in the costume.
  • Be open to and engaged in the rehearsal process and operation of your respective productions under the direction of the Production Staff.
  • Navigate in, on, or around scenic elements associated with specific production in potentially dark and restrictive spaces.

The Role

Gallant is seeking a Construction Estimator to join our growing Preconstruction Services team in Crystal Lake, IL. This role is critical to project success and client trust, working closely with Business Development, Operations, subcontractors, and clients.


At Gallant, estimating is more than pricing — it’s about strategy, clarity, and helping clients make informed decisions.


What You’ll Do

  • Prepare conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, and GMPs across all design phases
  • Lead estimating efforts for projects ranging from $1M–$10M+, including ground-up construction, renovations, tenant improvements, and site work
  • Develop a clear estimating strategy for each project, identifying scope, risks, assumptions, and opportunities
  • Solicit, level, and evaluate subcontractor pricing and support buyout
  • Clearly communicate costs and options to clients and internal teams
  • Provide thorough documentation and support a strong handoff to Operations
  • Proactively identify challenges and help the team find a way forward
  • Support and mentor team members as the Preconstruction group grows


What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
  • Prior field experience strongly preferred
  • Experience across multiple sectors, including retail, restaurant, financial, grocery, entertainment, and industrial
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods
  • Proven subcontractor relationships and market knowledge
  • Proficiency with estimating software and technology tools
  • Strong communication skills, high personal standards, and a collaborative mindset
  • Leadership mentality with a sense of ownership and accountability
