The Customer Service Representative works under close supervision to provide customer service to our members for our health, dental, and vision plans by performing the following duties.

Educate members on plan benefits, coverage limitations, and coinsurance/deductibles/out-of-pocket maximums using plain, clear language.

Conducts research and resolves issues for customer inquiries in a timely manner.

Responsible for prepping documents for scanning purposes and handling outgoing mail.

Provides additional administrative support for the department.

Other testing, projects and duties as assigned related to the job.

Requirements: Required Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Required Work Experience: One to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Technology Skills: Ability to operate PC, Copy machine, scanner, fax machine and telephone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Device Interrogation and Programming:
    • Perform in-person and remote interrogations of pacemakers, ICDs, and ICMs according to established protocols and physician orders.
    • Analyze device data, including electrograms, trends, and diagnostic information, to identify arrhythmias, lead issues, and device malfunctions.
    • Program devices based on physician orders and patient needs, ensuring optimal device function and appropriate therapy delivery.
    • Document all device interrogations, programming changes, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Patient Education and Support:
    • Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families regarding their cardiac device, including its function, potential alarms, lifestyle modifications, follow-up schedules, and emergency protocols.

    • Monitor patient symptoms and device performance, providing guidance and escalating issues to the physician as needed.
  • Clinic Operations:
