Job Description:

Join our CV PV team for a rewarding career in the specialties of Cardiac and Vascular. We are a growing team keen to introduce you to our exciting specialty – from Coronary Bypass Graft surgery to valve replacements, heart transplant, open and endo vascular surgeries.

We have a very supportive team with experienced preceptors and strong Educational support.

Provide service and support before, during, and after surgical procedures. Ensures the presence and proper arrangement of surgical equipment and supplies in the operating room to each operation; assists the surgeon during the operation as allowed by professional and legal standards; and assists with cleaning operating room after the operation ensuring proper routing of equipment, and used material. Reports to Manager.



Qualifications

  • Completion of a surgical technologist program.
  • Must be certified through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or be able to obtain certification within one year of employment.
  • Maintenance of CPR, BLS validation and attendance of annual Validation Day required.
  • Knowledge of various surgical procedures with the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon and to recognize the problems encountered by the surgeon.
  • Knowledge of name and function of surgical equipment and instrumentation required.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Strict adherence to policies and regulations regarding maintenance of sterile field required.
  • Knowledge and practice of basic care and patient safety concepts.
  • Application of the principles of asepsis in a manner that provides optimal patient care.
  • Knowledge of OR emergency situations. 
  • Primary role will be as a CST in one of our seven cardiac or vascular operating rooms. High volume OR, averaging 30 open heart cases per week.

Hybrid endovascular procedures, open vascular cases, and busy Open Heart program, including transplant and Heart failure surgeries. 

  • On-call obligation required for covering week nights and both weekend days and nights after the orientation process.
  • Works as a team member in the operating room alongside the rest of the surgical team to provide patient-centered care to high acuity patients.  
  • After orientation there is a possibility for flexible scheduling, including evening or weekend only schedule for the right candidate

Position Summary: The Financial Controller is a key member of the finance team, responsible for overseeing all accounting operations and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. This role manages the Staff Accountant and Financial Analyst and works closely with the CFO to support strategic financial planning, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounting functions, including payroll, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR).
Supervise and support the Staff Accountant and Financial Analyst in daily operations and professional development.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs safe respiratory therapy modalities as ordered by physician, developing a plan of care based on assessment data and standards of care, identifying needs for alternative action in the plan of treatment and involves the multi-disciplinary team in revisions to plan of care. Sets up, maintains and monitors mechanical ventilation according to policy and procedure. Administers medications demonstrating thorough knowledge of policy and procedure. Assembles, selects, operates, and cleans respiratory equipment for proper and appropriate function. This includes but is not limited to mechanical ventilators, BIPAP/CPAP and High Flow systems, oxygen delivery devices and oxygen analyzers, manual resuscitators, and suctioning equipment. Performs tracheal, endotracheal, and nasopharyngeal suctioning including the instillation of pharmacologic agents according to policy and procedure. Draws blood gases and runs samples through the iStat point of care device to process results, all following policy and procedure. Interprets arterial blood gas and oximetry results and reports critical values to the ordering provider. Differentiates between patient and equipment problems and intervenes appropriately. Documents and communicates all patient therapies including concerns during shift.

COMPETENCIES:

·       Must possess a strong focus on customer service and the ability to exhibit patience and empathy while providing care to a culturally diverse group of patients.

·       Must be able to speak, read, and write using the English language.

·       Effective verbal communication is essential with patients, co-workers, and physicians.

Qualifications

 EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

·       Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care program. Must provide a copy of diploma or transcript upon hire.

·       The candidate must hold the credential of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care and a current license from the State of Connecticut to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.

·       A candidate with a CRT credential must obtain the RRT credential from the NBRC within 12 months of employment.

·       The candidate will hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and maintain certification as required by the organization.

·       Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider (NRP) or Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advance Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are desirable but not required.

·       Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) certification is desirable but not required.

 

EXPERIENCE:

·       A minimum of one (1) year of skilled respiratory experience within the last two years.

·       Must be able to work well and efficiently independently and with others in a fast paced acute patient care environment.

The Greater Manchester Region has approximately 2,500 employees. It includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 249-bed community hospital, Rockville General, a campus of Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 102-bed facility, a large multispecialty provider group and visiting nurse services. The Greater Manchester Region serves a region of 300,000 people in 19 towns.

This position reports directly to the Manager of Behavioral Health Crisis and takes direction from the Clinical Nurse Manager of the department where they are floated. Provides direct and indirect clinical services to children and/or adolescents and/or adults in need of behavioral health care. Responsible for treatment of the client and provision of age-appropriate care. Core skills may include crisis assessment, intake assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, treatment planning, case management, team/community collaboration, patient/family education, and triage/discharge planning. Will provide flexible coverage as assigned to all services within Behavioral Health. COMPETENCIES:

  • Working knowledge of psychiatric disorders, familiarity with abuse and neglect reporting mandates, knowledge of community-based resources and comprehension of the pre-authorization and billing processes are considered a plus.
  • The duties of the position require strong clinical skills including a demonstrated strength in team orientation and an ability to function effectively in a work environment where multitasking is necessary.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills using the English language is essential.
  • Must be flexible in approach so that service-specific as well as overall system needs can be met.
  • Must be capable of taking swift and efficient action, including patient restraint when responding to patient emergency codes.

  1. Demonstrates skill in gathering and assessing comprehensive information regarding bio-psychosocial influences and etiology of addiction and co-morbid psychiatric disorders including client’s physical status and compulsion/ preoccupation to use, as evidenced by chart reviews and supervisor observations.
  1. Develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans, interventions, and disposition/discharge plans as needed, addressing both age-specific and substance abuse-specific issues within professional standards and per department guidelines, as evidenced by chart reviews and supervisor observations.
  1. Makes timely and appropriate referrals to least restrictive setting, demonstrating knowledge of levels of care and appropriate community and treatment resources, as evidenced by supervisor observations.
  1. Completes all requested forms, documentation, and other reporting requirements in a timely manner and in accordance with Department of Children and Family (DCF), managed care, probate court, JCAHO, and other standards with which program must comply, as evidenced by chart reviews and supervisor observation.
  1. Actively participates in and contributes to team meetings in order to enhance patient outcomes. Communicates effectively and consistently with team members including attending psychiatrists, nursing staff, medical director, and inpatient unit leadership, as evidenced by feedback from staff and psychiatrists as well as supervisor observations.
  1. Demonstrates sound knowledge base of, and appreciation for, growth and development and current issues specific to age group being served, as evidenced by development of appropriate treatment plans and therapeutic interventions in individual, family, and group therapy, as evidenced by chart reviews, supervisor observations and successful completion of competency.
  1. Demonstrates flexibility in meeting the fluctuating staffing needs of the department, as evidenced by willingness to adjust scheduled hours and assignments in accordance with the needs of the program, as evidenced by supervisor observation.
  1. Demonstrates value of patient and family education, utilizing appropriate psycho-educational material, as evidenced by chart reviews, feedback on satisfaction surveys and supervisor observation.
  1. Establishes rapport with patient and family, consistently demonstrating perceptiveness and empathy in clinical interactions, as evidenced by patient and family feedback and supervisor observation.
  1. Facilitates skill development by careful planning of therapeutic groups, individual and family interventions, as evidenced by patient and family feedback and supervisor observation.
  1. Effectively uses psychological and physical management techniques to manage violent or potentially violent situations consistent with Physical Management Training (PMT) training, as evidenced by peer feedback, supervisor observation and attendance at annual PMT refresher.
  1. Participates in Early Response codes and Dr. Strong codes, attendance at PMT refresher trainings.
  1. Demonstrates an understanding of learning disorders, as evidenced by flexibility of teaching methods and interactions with patients, patient and family feedback, supervisor observation and successful completion of competency.
  1. Demonstrates ability to identify obstacles and barriers that interfere with treatment compliance and resolve issues, as evidenced by discharge planning and treatment outcome, feedback from patient and family and supervisor observation. 

 



Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • A minimum of a Master's degree in the Behavioral Health field is required.
  • A State of CT. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or equivalent required.
  • Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification is preferred but not required.
  • Must be trained in PMT and de-escalation techniques, as prescribed by ECHN, and receive certification within 6 months of hire into the role.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior experience working in the Behavioral Health field, preferably to specific prospective service setting.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

  • This position requires a Masters degree and Connecticut licensure as a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

  • Training and/or familiarity with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), familiarity with abuse and neglect reporting and duty-to-warn mandates, knowledge of community-based resources and experience with pre-authorization and billing processes is preferred.
