Physician Assistant Qualifications

- Consistent attendance and ability to perform clinical duties during scheduled shifts
Cardiothoracic Surgery PA Responsibilities
- Deliver independent, high-quality patient care in collaboration with the cardiothoracic surgery team
- Conduct patient assessments, medical histories, physical exams, and review diagnostic data
- Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans; communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Assist surgeons in managing hospital patients, including operating room (OR) support, rounding, and consults
- Participate in overnight and 24-hour call coverage (7-10 call days per month)
- Utilize multidisciplinary approaches for continuity, coordination, and evaluation of care
- Document patient care in compliance with regulatory and hospital guidelines
- Educate and counsel patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Float to other departments as needed and provide telemedicine services

* * Total Rewards Strategy: Develop and oversee the organization's total rewards strategy, including compensation, benefits, retirement, mental well-being, and equity programs, to ensure alignment with business goals and competitive positioning.
* Provide guidance on executive compensation design, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and prepare materials for the Compensation Committee.
