Job Description Summary: OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital is hiring for a casual/PRN registered Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology department.

Our hours of operations are from 8am-4:3pm Monday through Friday and will reach out to the therapist as needed to fill open position due to time off, sickness, leave of absence, etc The Radiation Therapist delivers radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.

They prepare patients for a course of Radiation Therapy inclusive of simulation, dose calculations and acquiring of treatment parameters.

Responsibilities And Duties: 35% Administers Radiation Therapy treatments on a daily basis.

20% Maintains daily record of treatment, inclusive of daily dosages and calculations and other necessary treatment records.

Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.:

  • Conduct railcar and train movements; signal crew members for movement of the engine or train using lantern, hand, and/or flag signals or radio to indicate when to start, stop, back up, or set or release air brakes

  • Observe, interpret, and relay arm, lantern or radio signals and all other indications affecting movement of a train

  • Operate track switches (visually check switch condition and direction) to change the direction of the engine or cars within yard limits or on the main railroad; apply or release hand brakes to switch or perform other duties

  • Inspect the condition of the train and equipment in movement and while stationary

  • Couple air connections between railcars and railcar movers when making up trains

  • Assist with other projects and perform other duties as assigned

  • Ensure compliance with all train orders, signals, and railroad rules and regulations for safety, operations, and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA)

  • Monitor track conditions and report any issues

  • Perform ER checks utilizing technology in the form of a tablet and/or computer for all arriving and departing trains

  • Follow OSHA safety standards and wear required PPE

Requirements and Qualifications::
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.

  • Ability to utilize technology in the form of a tablet and/or computer

  • High school/GED education completed, higher education is a plus

  • Must be able to lift/push/pull at least 50 pounds

  • Minimum 1 year of rail conducting experience

  • Able to work in an outdoor environment on a constant basis while being exposed to variable weather conditions, temperatures, chemicals, dust, fumes, smells, and loud noises.

Job Description Summary: This position is responsible for producing good quality exams in a timely manner while practicing good patient care and maintaining accurate patient records.

He/She assures the Mammography program meets all FDA Mammography Quality Standards Act and American College of Radiology requirements and standards.

Responsibilities And Duties: 75% Conducts Mammograms; Escorts patient to the room, completes proper documentation, and explains procedure to patient prior to mammogram procedure.

Takes images for interpretation.

Verifies images are of good technical quality.

15% Completes registration tasks to assure reimbursement for services.

10% Performs quality control and assurance practices.

Schedules preventative maintenance and calibration on equipment and schedules necessary repairs.

Assures all mammography manuals are kept up-to-date.

Keeps accurate and current QC logs to document variances, investigates and corrects any abnormal QC occurrences.
