Nights

We are also known as Acute Rehab, ARU or Inpatient Rehab. Rehabilitation nursing offers a gratifying career for nurses who want to use all of their clinical skills, make a visible difference in their patients’ lives, and work as part of a collaborative healthcare team. We provide comprehensive collaborative care to all adult and adult geriatric patients with neurological and other medical conditions of resent onset or regression and who have experienced loss of functions in activities of daily living, mobility, cognition, or communication. Frequent diagnoses: CVA, brain injury, spinal injury, amputation, hip fracture, joint replacement, and other neurological syndromes.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.

The Neuro/ Pulmonary Stroke Unit:

The most common pulmonary diagnoses we see are COPD, respiratory failure, asthma, and pneumonia. Our pulmonary patients may be on high flow oxygen, BiPAP, or have tracheostomies or chest tubes. These patients require complex assessment, aggressive therapies and interventions, and continuous nursing vigilance.

We work closely with the Stroke Coordinator to care for Acute Stroke and TIA patients. We do utilize tele-neuro services at times. Neuro patients require frequent assessments to assess for subtle changes in condition. Stroke education is provided.

The Medical A floor at Mercy Jefferson is a fast-paced 30-bed unit that cares for patients of all ages. Many of the patients are chronically ill and require multidiscipline treatment plans and goals. Job Title : Bomb Technician (EOD) Category / Component : Enlisted • Active Overview Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technicians locate, identify, render safe, and dispose of explosive threats on land, at sea, and underwater, using advanced robotics, diving, and explosives skills to protect forces and civilians and support fleet and joint operations worldwide.

Key Responsibilities Detonate and demolish hazardous munitions, pyrotechnics, and outdated explosives; neutralize ordnance including sea mines, torpedoes, depth charges, and improvised explosive devices; remotely disable unsafe ordnance using robotic and diagnostic technology; conduct parachute and helicopter insertion operations; clear waterways of mines in support of ships and submarines; provide explosive ordnance support to law enforcement agencies and organizations such as the United States Secret Service and Department of State.
