The practice of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is performed by radiologic technologists responsible for the use of radiofrequencies (RF's) within a magnetic field on humans of all ages (newborn to geriatric) for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. A MRI technologist performs MRI procedures utilizing MRI scanners and power injectors producing cross sectional and 3D images at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner. MRI technologists may also assist with interventional and therapeutic procedures and perform complex imaging reformatting.
MRI integrates scientific knowledge, technical skills, patient interaction and compassionate care resulting in diagnostic information. A MRI technologist recognizes patient conditions, assesses and monitors patient vital signs, and takes appropriate actions in emergency situations essential for successful completion of a procedure and to maintain quality patient care.
MRI Technologists must demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, computer technology, basic patient care and assessment techniques, MRI physics, and medical terminology. MRI technologists must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and sequence techniques. They must possess, utilize, and maintain knowledge of magnetic protection and safety, radiation protection, and safety and current complex scanning protocols. MRI technologists are the primary liaison between patients, licensed independent practitioners and other members of the support team. MRI technologists must remain sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, assessment, monitoring, and care skills. MRI Technologists prepare, administer, and document activities related to medications in accordance with federal and state law as well as institutional policy. Participation in quality improvement processes and continuous assessment of performance is expected.
MRI Technologists think critically and use independent, professional, and ethical judgment in all aspects of work Engagement in continuing education to enhance patient care, public education, knowledge, and technical competence is expected in this role.
The scope of practice for the MRI Technologist includes: Performing MRI procedures. Applying principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risk to patient, self, and others. Selecting appropriate pulse sequences with consideration given to established protocols and other factors influencing data acquisition. Determining and/or following appropriate imaging protocols. Documenting pertinent exam information in the medical record. Maintaining archival storage of imaging exams and associated documents. Assisting LIP with specialized interventional MRI procedures and applies appropriate aseptic surgical technique as needed. Maintaining records, respecting confidentiality and established policy. Applying the principles of patient safety during all aspects of MRI procedures, including assisting and transporting patients. Receiving, relaying, and documenting verbal, written, and electronic imaging orders in the patient's medical record. Position Summary
Oceaneering's Marine Services Division (MSD) is seeking Inside Machinists to support the manufacturing of complex, critical submarine components in a low-volume, build-to-print environment. Unlike high-volume \"widget\" machining shops, our work consists of one-off and non-repeat builds with tight tolerances, exotic alloys, and high-quality standards that directly support the U.S. Navy submarine fleet.
This role does not require travel but may require overtime.
Duties And Responsibilities
CNC PROGRAMMING & SETUP:

  • Review and run CNC programs (lathe and mill) using G-code and CAM platforms.
  • Set up CNC and manual machines using written instructions.

MACHINING OPERATIONS:

  • Perform the setup and basic operation of equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, saws, and/or related shop machinery.
  • Perform machining operations under supervision, using CNC and/or manual equipment as required.

BLUEPRINT, TECHNICAL, AND WORK DOCUMENT INTERPRETATION:
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, manuals, GD&T callouts, and technical work documents.

PRECISION MEASUREMENT & DOCUMENTATION:

QUALITY, SAFETY, AND WORKMANSHIP:

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Senior Staff Systems Engineer to serve as an Engineering lead for a space mission payload critical to our nation to join our team in Dulles, VA. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

This role includes Engineering and project management through all phases of the program, from concept development and industry trade study preliminary and detailed design, payload integration & test, space vehicle integration and test and potentially on-orbit demonstration.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Your mission, should you choose to accept:

  • Functioning as the primary payload interface for customers, program management, product line engineering leadership, mission assurance and subsystem engineering teams
  • Providing Technical Support / Oversight including
    • Conducting technical trades in coordination with the Mission and Space Vehicle SE teams
    • Ownership of payload specs and requirements traceability
    • Developing and managing Interface-Control Documents (ICD) between the prime and sub-contractor
    • Playing a key role in major program milestone and readiness reviews
    • Planning, design, and execution of testing strategies to ensure payload qualification, exercise payload functionality and measure performance
    • Supporting the development of operational mission scenarios and payload concepts of operations
  • Payload sub-contractor oversight, including cost and schedule performance including
    • Review / Tech Eval of subcontractor proposals
    • Cost account manager (CAM) for Payload WBSs using EVMS
    • Recognizing and mitigating payload related issues and risks

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 14 years of professional experience – OR – Master's degree with 12 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 10 years of professional experience

  • Experience working medium size or larger Government programs
  • Experience in managing sub-contractors
  • Knowledge of aerospace environmental testing standards

Primary Level Salary Range: $192,800.00 - $289,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
