• Board Certification: Anatomic Pathology (AP) Board Certified (required)
  
• Licensure: Active New York State physician license (required)
  
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of anatomic pathology experience preferred
  
• Procedural Skills: Comfortable grossing specimens and cutting frozen sections on a cryostat
  
• Cytology: Cytology proficiency exam required for GYN cytology (ThinPrep method)
  
• Submission Requirement: Current self-query NPDB report at time of submission
  
• Systems: Prior experience with Epic/Beaker and working in a CLIA-certified lab workflow preferred

• Provide general anatomic pathology coverage including surgical pathology and cytology interpretation for a hospital-based lab
  
• Perform gross examination of specimens and cut frozen sections using a cryostat
  
• Interpret cytology specimens, including GYN cytology prepared via ThinPrep
  
• Document findings, finalize reports, and sign out cases in Epic/Beaker per laboratory standards
  
• Consult and collaborate with on-site pathologists, histotechnologists, cytotechnologists, surgical teams, and laboratory staff
  
• Maintain high standards of diagnostic accuracy, quality assurance, and compliance with CLIA and NYS regulations
  
• Contribute to a team-oriented laboratory environment and participate in case review and peer consultation as needed
