Our hospital offers a comprehensive in-house hemodialysis program, designed to provide high-quality, patient-centered renal care within the acute care setting. The program serves hospitalized patients requiring both acute and chronic dialysis treatments, ensuring continuity of care and timely intervention under the supervision of an interdisciplinary team.
Staffed by experienced nurses and supported by nephrologists and hospital leadership, the unit prioritizes safety, comfort, and optimal clinical outcomes. Our state-of-the-art equipment and evidence-based protocols enable us to deliver dialysis services directly at the bedside or in dedicated dialysis treatment areas, minimizing patient transport and maximizing efficiency.
How you'll contribute
A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:
Adheres to the 10 Rights of medication administration.
Collaborates with physician as part of Interdisciplinary Team. Establishes a collegial and collaborative relationship.
Is knowledgeable regarding patient condition, completes patient assessment, reassessment, and reports changes to the physician.

Completes required education and CPR/ACLS. Keeps current with assigned education in online learning management system.

Maintains accountability for practice and compliance to regulations, policy, and procedures.
Attends and participates in a minimum of six staff meetings annually. Reads all staff meeting minutes.
Maintains proficiency in all aspects of Electronic Medical Record /bar code medication administration.

Demonstrates understanding and knowledge of patient's rights and patient responsibilities.
Attends educational sessions as directed by the nurse manager to gain knowledge about new treatment options, procedures, or equipment.
Timely renewal of PA State RN licensure.

Demonstrates flexibility in response to unexpected changes in workload and emergency situations.
Keeps up to date with communication in the unit: i.e., reads emails, posted memos, reads staff meeting minutes. Responds consistently to requested read-receipt items sent electronically.
After completing required education/training/proctoring will be expected to orient and mentor new nurses.

Surgical Ortho, 9 Ashman and 9 Rose, provides services to a range of patients including orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, urology and med surg. We offer our nurses 12 hour shifts, 7a-7p and 7p-7a with an every other weekend rotation. Schedules are provided on a 4-week interval basis, flexible self-scheduling giving staff input into when they work.
How you'll contribute

- Ensures completion of the Transition of Care; documentation to include the Physician Orders Set (Transition of Care for Home or PFC or Transition of Care for Skilled, Intermediate, LTAC OR Acute Care Rehab) in Epic, written discharge instructions and medication reconciliation.
- Completes Transfer Consent to Acute Care Hospital, if the patient is being transferred to another Acute Care Hospital.
- Performs 5 moments of hand hygiene.
- Is responsible for reading and knowing all nurse practice updates.

The Adult Psychiatric Unit is a 29-bed locked unit. The unit provides comprehensive mental health care to individuals between the ages of 18-59. Individuals over the age of 59 are evaluated for admission on an individual basis. Patients admitted to the unit have a primary DSM 5 diagnosis/es. However, patients may also have additional diagnoses, including, but not limited to Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, medical comorbidities, etc. Patients must be medically stable as a criteria for admission. Safety practices include 15-minute safety checks, staff monitoring of all community areas and staff presence during meals and visiting hours. Nursing care, daily psychiatric assessments, therapy and medication management are provided to meet the emotional, behavioral, physical, cultural, educational and spiritual needs of the adult patient population. The nurses work 12-hour shifts (7A & 7P). There is great teamwork among the staff.

Cardiac catheterization /EP lab is a very busy place. We provide cardiac catheterization with stents and shockwave, CSI, Rota bladder, Laser, Impalla and balloon pump procedures, TEE, ablations and Cardioversions. We have same day discharge procedures that the patients will recover for 4 hours and if they meet discharge criteria, may go home. Our schedule is published one month at a time. Staff for the cardiac catheterization lab work 4 - (10-hour) shifts, on call time daily, for weekends or holidays also. On call is 2-3 days per week and every 3rd weekend, this may vary depending on vacations, etc. Conemaugh Hospital has chest pain accreditation status; therefore, we have STEMI call 24/7, 7 days per week. Staff for EP work 5 -(8-hour) shifts, no on call time, no weekends, or holidays. We prefer 2 + years' experience with ER, ICU, PCU/telemetry

Flexible schedule that is different every week. You can request up to 3 shifts that work for you in a 4-week schedule that can help with appointments, days off, etc. Operating room is collaborative team of surgeons, anesthesia, technologists, and registered nurses. One to one patient ratio. Numerous specialties including robotics, cardiovascular, orthopedics, plastics, OB-GYNE, neuro, urology, and trauma. All employees are expected to be proficient in each specialty; however, you will be in the specialty you prefer most of the time after orientation. Huge perk is getting to know the surgeons here and being able to request them to care for family members etc.
How you'll contribute
A Registered Nurse (RN), who excels in this role:
- Assesses the needs of the patients and develops plan of care for the patient during their surgical intervention in order to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Understands and applies the principles of aseptic technique and peri-operative nursing.
- Provides complete and accurate documentation for all operative records within the electronic health record (op-time) system.
- Possesses knowledge and demonstrates the proper use, care and handling of all equipment, instruments and supplies within the operating room environment.
- Accepts accountability for clinical care of patient
- Initiates and coordinates time out and supports all patient safety initiatives.
- Participates in teaching students, orientation of new personnel and providing continuing education for OR staff.
- Attends, participates and completes all required meetings, in-services and educational programs annually.
- Assesses, recognizes, records and reports to appropriate surgical team members all signs/symptoms or changes in patient's condition.
- Participates on committees and special assignments as needed.
- Participate in professional organizations such as AORN. Encouraged to seek certification as an operating room nurse.
- Maintains confidentiality with regards to patient/employee information.
- Supports and follows all AORN/AAMI/OSHA Standards and Recommended Practices.
- Maintains knowledge of disaster planning and can fulfill a role in specific disaster plans.
- Participates in reviewing revising the philosophies, objectives, procedure cards, policy/procedure, and job descriptions on a continual basis.
- Participates in quality control programs/ Follows Universal Precautions

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
· Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
· CPR Certification
· One year minimum of nursing experience and/or equivalent surgical experience
· CNOR preferred
· Operating Room circulating nurse/ASC experience preferred
