Job Summary and Qualifications
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides comprehensive health care to a population that has multiple health care needs in the Detention Health Care setting of University Health.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must have completed training in an ACGME-approved and accredited residency program. Completion of a residency program from the time of graduation from medical school, in excess of the traditional time period for the practice specialty, must be fully explained in writing. All incumbents will be expected to be board certified in their specialty or be eligible for board certification. Must obtain board certification in accordance with Medical-Dental Staff bylaws.
LICENSURE
Must possess a current license to practice medicine in the State of Texas. Must maintain current AHA BLS or higher in accordance with Medical-Dental Staff bylaws. Providers practicing in an acute care environment must obtain AHA ACLS certification or advanced specialty equivalent as defined by the CMA Credentials Committee within 90 days of hire. Must maintain DEA and DPS numbers. Must follow rules/regulations as set forth by the Texas Medical Board Medical Practice Act
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides primary healthcare and performs selective medical services under the direction of specialty physicians. Responsible for diagnostic and therapeutic management of patients by completing medical histories, conducting physicals, establishing diagnosis through tests, and formulating treatment plans. Provides follow-up and health maintenance care of patients in accordance with protocols approved by a physician.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Successful completion of an educational program for physician assistants or surgeon assistants accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, or by that committee's predecessor or successor entities is required. One year of training in the appropriate specialty is required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants is recommended. Must be currently licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas. Must maintain current AHA BLS or higher in accordance with Medical-Dental Staff and UMA bylaws. Valid DEA number must be obtained within 90-days of hire.

The Opportunity

Our Licensed Insurance Customer Service role may be a new career for you. There’s a lot to learn, but the journey is mapped out and USAA is willing to invest in you! Our comprehensive, fully paid six-month training program includes all training materials, class discussions, hands-on training, e-learning modules, and the instructor led guidance will help you to support our membership independently. We also pay for all licensing costs! We have new training classes starting every month.
Our in-office development program provides you the training you need on USAA products and the encouragement to create a proactive and independent support style to service our membership. After six months in-office, you’ll have the opportunity to work offsite 2 days a week. The actual onsite days are settled between each employee and their manager. As a Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative, you'll work within defined guidelines and framework, to provide customer service, sales, and retention activities for one or more of USAA's Property & Casualty personal line products. What you'll do:

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides primary health care and performs selective medical services under the direction of clinic physicians. Responsible for diagnostic and therapeutic management of patients by completing medical histories, conducting physicals, establishing diagnosis through tests, and formulating treatment plans. Provides follow-up and health maintenance care of patients in accordance with protocols approved by a physician.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Successful Completion of an educational program for physician assistants or surgeon assistants accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, or by that committee's predecessor or successor entities is required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants is required. Must be currently licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas. Must maintain current AHA BLS or higher. Providers practicing in acute care environment must obtain AHA ACLS certification or advanced specialty equivalent as defined by the CMA Credentials Committee within 90 days of hire. Prescriptive authority is required. Valid DEA numbers must be obtained within 90-days of hire.

The Opportunity
What you'll do:
- Applies appropriate coverage and handles simple liability, evaluates, and settles high volume and low complexity auto claims with repairable vehicles.
- Resolves claims through proactive problem solving and decision making, within authority guidelines and under direct supervision, overcoming obstacles, and effectively prioritizing the workload.
- Clearly documents thought process including damage evaluation, investigation, negotiation, and settlement decisions.
- Collaborates and sets expectations with external and internal business partners to facilitate claims resolution.
- Supports members, business partners, and claimants, through use of varying communication channels to include utilization of digital tools to drive timely and effective resolutions through exceptional service.
- Acquires and applies a foundational knowledge of P&C insurance industry products, services, to include P&C insurance policy contracts, coverages and internal claims handling process and procedures.
- Applies basic knowledge of Auto Physical Damage. Supports workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response operations as needed, including mandatory on-call dates and potential evening, weekend, and/or holiday work outside normal work hours.
- May be assigned CAT deployment travel with minimal notice during designated CATs.
- Works various types of claims, including ones of higher complexity, and may be assigned additional work outside normal duties as needed.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
