- Define and maintain policies, standards, and procedures for data quality, metadata, classification, access, and lifecycle; translate policy into actionable controls across platforms.

- Run end-to-end issue management; ensure durable fixes in upstream processes.
Metadata, Catalog & Lineage
- Govern enterprise glossary, technical metadata, classifications, PII/PHI tags, and end‑to‑end lineage.
- Drive adoption and completeness in CDGC and ensure Unity Catalog lineage/tags stay aligned to enterprise definitions, report coverage for critical data elements.
Enablement, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Deliver training, playbooks, and office hours to grow literacy and accelerate self‑service within guardrails.
- Provide executive‑ready dashboards for governance KPIs (quality, glossary coverage, lineage completeness, policy adoption, audit readiness); run periodic maturity assessments and prioritize improvements.
Skills and Experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree required (Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field preferred).
- Certifications a plus (e.g., CDMP, DCAM familiarity).
Experience
- 7+ years in data governance/data management (senior‑level impact).

- Operationalize glossary, stewardship workflows, classifications, and lineage in CDGC and Unity Catalog, with coverage metrics for CDEs.
- Executive‑grade storytelling, stakeholder facilitation, and influence‑without‑authority; produce dashboards, playbooks, and training that stick.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with IDMC services (quality/integration) complementing CDGC/MDM and with BI tooling (Power BI, Tableau, Databricks AI/BI) for stewardship scorecards.
- Working SQL/Python proficiency for profiling/validation and partnering on control implementation in Databricks pipelines.
