Summary:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed, and help to facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. The technologist will demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed or required. The technologist must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. Expectation to participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure. The technologists will adhere to, and maintain, the expected imaging competencies as outlined by management. Observe radiation, personnel, and patient safety measures. Maintains radiation safety protocol while handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals used in the department. Completes daily logs and periodic tests performed as required by the license. The Position
The ideal candidate will have experience in the provision of quality GYN & surgical services utilizing robotics and will share in practice call.
This position will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of OB/GYNs, Certified Nurse Midwives, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants providing full-scope of care to women from all-across northern New Mexico. Our modern clinic is just minutes from our award-winning hospital which is equipped with the latest technology, including Da Vinci Xi surgical robots.
You will benefit from a seamless workflow utilizing Epic EMR across all care settings as you diagnosis and provide treatment for a wide range of gynecologic conditions, including:
- Abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids
- Pelvic pain, endometriosis
- Abnormal cervical cytology
- Amenorrhea, oligomenorrhea, menorrhagia
- Menopause care and benign gynecologic conditions
Obstetrics Practice Considerations:
While obstetric care is not a required component of this position, candidates interested in providing obstetrical services alongside gynecologic and surgical responsibilities may opt into the following:
- Opportunity to provide clinic-based obstetrical care in addition to standard gyn/surg duties; inclusive of APC collaboration and support.
- Opportunity to provide OB hospital / laborist shifts in L&D -- 24-hour in-house shifts with compensation of $3,600 per shift worked (no RVUs).
Obstetrical care can be combined into one FTE or the laborist shifts can be in addition to the gyn/surg FTE as a true-extra shift earning opportunity.
NOTE : physicians with hospital obstetrical privileges will participate in the emergency OB back-up call rotation regardless of whether they opt to provide 24-hour laborist shifts. It is rare that the emergency backup OB is activated but is an important component to ensuring adequate surgical backup coverage for our labor & delivery program.

The Catheterization Laboratory Technician I supports diagnostic, interventional cardiac catheterization, and EP procedures by preparing the lab, equipment, and supplies. - Demonstrates flexibility by working other shifts and at other campuses as needed or required.
- Ensures completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS.
- Ability to follow PACS downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser and escalate any problem(s) or issue(s) to the PACS administrator or Designee if needed.
- Troubleshoots and reports any equipment malfunctions to the Director/Manager and/or Biomedical personnel;

Job Requirements:
Education/Skills
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required
Experience
- 1 year of experience in a hospital or Clinical setting preferred
- Basic computer experience required
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) from ARRT or ARMRIT is required within 1 year of hire
- State Licensure required if in New Mexico
- MRT by MIRTP NMED
- BLS required

Assists nursing staff by transcribing physician's orders during emergent situations. Continuously observes, documents, and reports the cardiac rhythm status in the units and/or on telemetry. Performs clerical duties ensuring accuracy of unit records. Serves as communication center for nursing unit. Performs other duties as assigned by Director, Clinical Manager and Clinical Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Observe cardiac monitors, document and analyze rhythm strips as required.
- Recognize basic dysrhythmias and ST&T wave changes. Notifies appropriate nurse of any changes.
- Initiates--maintains daily telemetry charges. Responsible for care and location of all the telemetry transmitters.
- Maintains an organized work area and anticipate workflow activity patterns.
- Accurately transcribes physicians’ orders according to hospital policy. Alerts nursing staff of new or urgent orders promptly.
- Completes clerical work on admissions, transfers, discharges and prepares discharge charts and folder to be taken to Medical Records Department.
- Maintains charts during all phases of a patient’s hospital stay, including replenishing forms.
- Informs Housekeeping of dismissals to assure timely patient turnaround.
- Delivers valuables, lost and found articles, or personal belongings to Security for safekeeping.
- Daily computer entry and reconciliation of individual patient charges.
- Obtains needed supplies from SPD, Purchasing, Pharmacy, Lab and Linen as needed;
assists in location of equipment and supplies. - Serves as communication center for the nursing unit by:
- Answering telephones, initiating calls and relaying communications.
- Answers telephones promptly and courteously and identifies self by name and title.
