Category Manager - Raw Materials

We are currently looking to hire a Category Manager – Raw Materials for our client, a U.S.-based industrial manufacturer supporting advanced manufacturing, electrification, and next-generation technologies. Their materials play a critical role across automation, energy, transportation, and other asset-intensive markets, helping strengthen domestic supply chains.

This role is well suited for an experienced category management or strategic sourcing professional who has supported direct materials or commodity sourcing in industrial environments. As Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for critical raw materials while partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure supply continuity, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.

What You’ll Do:

• Own and execute category strategies for raw materials supporting manufacturing and processing operations
• Lead sourcing activities including supplier identification, competitive bidding, negotiations, and contract execution
• Analyze market conditions, cost drivers, and supply risks to support informed sourcing decisions
• Develop cost models, total cost of ownership analyses, and business cases to drive value creation
• Partner cross-functionally to forecast demand and support production and capital project requirements
• Manage supplier performance through scorecards, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Identify and mitigate supply risks through contingency planning, dual sourcing, and inventory strategies
• Maintain accurate pricing, supplier, and contract data within procurement and ERP systems
• Prepare and present sourcing strategies, performance metrics, and risk assessments to leadership

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement within manufacturing, chemicals, mining, or heavy industrial environments
• Experience managing direct material or commodity categories
• Strong analytical skills, including spend analysis, cost modeling, and supplier evaluation
• Proven negotiation skills and experience managing complex supplier relationships
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders in fast-paced operational settings

• Ensure that lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
• Develop and qualify new testing methods.
• Train other analysts to perform laboratory procedures and assays.
• Perform visual inspections of finished products.
• Participate in internal assessments and audits as required.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems.

• Receive and inspect raw materials.
• Review data from contract laboratories to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare or review required method transfer documentation including technical transfer protocols or reports.
• Perform validations or transfers of analytical methods in accordance with applicable policies or guidelines.
• Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor testing procedures to ensure that all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods, or protocols.
• Investigate or report questionable test results.
• Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release.
• Identify quality problems and recommend solutions.
• Evaluate analytical methods and procedures to determine how they might be improved.
• Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms.
• Calibrate, validate, or maintain laboratory equipment.
• Compile laboratory test data and perform appropriate analyses.
• Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples.

Job Summary:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing field and project operations within the industrial concrete construction sector. This position plays a critical role in ensuring project planning, execution, and coordination are carried out effectively, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards and strategic goals. The Director will collaborate closely with internal departments and external partners to deliver high-quality, on-schedule construction outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement project-specific construction plans that align with the company’s organizational goals.
• Lead all aspects of concrete construction including material selection, mixing, placement, finishing, curing, and structural applications.
• Develop and maintain project scopes, budgets, schedules and logistics plans to ensure alignment with funding and regulatory requirements.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to foster collaboration and improve project outcomes.
• Promote a performance-driven culture based on safety, accountability, and results.
• Ensure strict quality control standards, conduct thorough inspections, and promptly address any deficiencies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in labor productivity, equipment utilization, and material handling while maintaining high standards of quality and operational excellence
• Collaborate with project management and estimating teams to improve cost tracking and margin protection.

• Stay current with emerging construction methods, materials, and technologies (e.g., BIM, drones, AI).

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• 7+ years of progressive experience in concrete construction, including 5+ years in a leadership or director-level role.
• CCM OR PMP certification is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of quality, timeliness, and cost control.
• Demonstrated ability to make sound, timely decisions under pressure, weighing multiple project factors such as risk, budget, and operational priorities.
• Proven expertise in budgeting, cost control, financial forecasting, and profitability analysis to support informed decision-making and optimize resource allocation.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities; detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement and execution.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across technical and business functions.
• A collaborative team member who builds strong relationships, inspires trust, encourages accountability, and supports professional growth.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with project management software is a plus.

Physical Requirements and Environment:

• Regular travel required (up to 75%)
• May require extended hours, including nights and weekends, depending on project schedules and needs.

Summary:

The Epic Systems Analyst is a senior-level, independent contributing IT professional responsible for the development, testing, maintenance, and support of Epic applications and related technologies. This role partners closely with clinical and business stakeholders to ensure Epic applications—specifically Grand Central, Prelude, and Eligibility—effectively support operational and patient access workflows. The analyst monitors system performance, leads application enhancements and upgrades, resolves issues, develops reports, and ensures quality control prior to release. This position also provides consultative support by analyzing current processes, identifying gaps, and recommending technology-driven solutions aligned with organizational and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Position requires at least 5 years of direct EPIC Analyst experience
• Epic Grand Central, Prelude, and Eligibility certifications
• A BA/BS degree in IS or Business is preferred.

• Provide advanced medical care and operational services for Marine Reconnaissance, USMC Special Operations Forces and Navy Special Operations Command personnel, like SWCC and SEALs

• Search and Rescue Medical Tech Pipeline (27 weeks)
  Areas of training include but are not limited to advanced fluid resuscitation, administration and management of Advanced Life Support medications, use of emergency medical equipment, rescue and recovery devices and patient handling.
• Medical Deep Sea Diving Tech Pipeline (28 weeks)
  Areas of training include but are not limited to diving physics, scuba and surface-supplied air diving, recognition and treatment of diving related illnesses.
