Your Role
As an Attorney in our General Liability practice group, you will play an integral role in the success of our cases, clients, and the firm. Your responsibilities include:
- Legal Research and Writing: Conducts thorough legal research and drafts pleadings, motions, , and other documents under the guidance of senior attorneys or partners.
- Case Preparation: Assists in preparing cases for hearings, trials, mediations, and depositions, ensuring all documentation and evidence are organized and complete.
- Client Communication: Maintains communication with clients to provide updates, gather information, and address concerns, ensuring a professional and responsive relationship.
- Discovery Management: Handles document reviews, prepares discovery responses, and assists in interrogatory and deposition processes.
- Court Representation: Appears in court for routine motions, hearings, or minor trials to represent clients, often with oversight from more senior attorneys.
- Compliance and Risk Assessment: Advises clients on legal rights, obligations, and risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Works closely with senior attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to execute strategies and meet client objectives.

What You Bring
To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
- Experience: At least 1-5 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on

- Knowledge: Strong understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related
- to automotive liability.
- Licensed in UT & OR or UT & WA
- Coverage experience is a plus

The Community Hospice has a wonderful opportunity for a Per diem RN to work as part of our Hospice Care Team caring for patients and families in the homecare and nursing home setting after hours on call.

Provides perioperative patient care, specifically in the intraoperative phase, in both the scrub and circulating roles according to established guidelines. Serves the population from neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. This position will be full-time exempt and paid a weekly salary to provide on-call coverage weeknights M-F, starting at 1800 each evening and ending at 0700 the next morning. A commitment to work one 10-hour shift a pay period M-F between the hours of 0600 and 1800 will be in place at the discretion of the facilitator/manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAdministers nursing care to patients; includes assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient’s care plan in coordination with the physician Scrubs and circulates on cases independently, with minimal direction (OR) Prepares for surgical cases in an efficient manner, anticipating needs of patient, surgeon, anesthesia and other O.R. team members (OR) Provides a safe environment for patient and staff by implementing standards of aseptic technique and by controlling the physical and psychological aspects of that environment. Collects and analyzes data and assesses patient in developing nursing diagnosis. Communicates effectively with the patient, staff, physicians, and families. Maintains knowledge of equipment set-up and function. Initiates and directs room clean up and turnover. Participates in orientation and training of new personnel. Assists in maintenance of physician's preference cards and other O.R. resource material. Utilizes computer in surgical documentation, disposition of specimens and obtaining pertinent information. Participates in departmental Performance Improvement activities as appropriate. Attends department meetings and in-services. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.

Possession of a current or compact state license as a Registered Nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa. Operating Room experience preferred. Basic Life Support certified within six (6) weeks of hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers. Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire. Ability to read, write and speak English language. - Climbing: while using stairway between locker area and the O.R. and between Inventory Control and the O.R.
PHYSICAL DEMAND REQUIREMENTS:
- If a patient is unable to function independently, a mechanical/assistive device and/or additional personnel must be utilized. If an object requires lifting > 50 lbs., additional equipment/personnel must also be utilized.
- Heavy work: Exerting up to 65 lbs. push/pull (force to move frequently, and lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and lifting up to 40 lbs. frequently, and lifting up to 20 lbs. constantly, to move patient and/or objects.
VISUAL ACUITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Preparing and reading written and electronic documentation
- Working with small sutures, needles, etc.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Peripheral vision.
- Ability to work with a microscope.
- Subject to extremes in lighting.
EQUIPMENT/TOOLS: Standard medical and nursing equipment, special equipment or office equipment found in the assigned area. WORKING CONDITIONS:

As a Registered Nurse at MercyOne, you will provide and direct safe, effective, and culturally competent care for patients with acute medical and surgical conditions. Through evidence-based practice, utilizes critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate outcome-based care. The Acute Care RN manages a diverse patient population with varying levels of acuity, including post-operative, medical, telemetry, and neurologic patients. Supervises and coordinates care provided by LPNs, Patient Care Assistants, and other nursing team members. Facilitates communication with physicians, patients and families, and interdisciplinary team members. Essential Functions:
Conducts assessment
Identifies patient problems and develops plan of care
Implements outcome/goal - based plan of care
Evaluates patient progress and revises the outcome/goal - based plan as needed

Manages telemetry and cardiac monitoring when applicable
Provides care appropriate to the age-related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned unit

Day shift: 7:00 am – 7:30 pm, Night shift: 7:00 pm – 7:30 am
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in nursing required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Possession of a current or compact state licensure as a Registered Nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required only if the unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities
Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire
