Job Description

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for leading hands‑on inspection, rea; time quality decision making, and day‑to‑day execution of the Quality Management System in a regulated manufacturing environment.

This role is fully floor based and requires strong technical inspection capabilities along with the leadership skills needed to guide, train, and hold the inspection team accountable.

Description You will repport directly into the Director of Engineering and will: Leading and performing incoming, in‑process, and final inspections to print Making real‑time accept, reject, hold, or release decisions and documenting results in the ERP system Maintaining and executing the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and AS9120 Performing and approving First Article Inspections (FAIRs) based on customer and industry requirements Programming, operating, and training personnel on CMM equipment and other inspection tools Supervising daily inspection workloads and directing the activities of the inspection team Managing M&TE assets and ensuring timely calibration with complete, accurate records Submitting documentation for source inspections and supporting customer and regulatory audits Reviewing drawings, Certificates of Conformance, and inspection documentation for accuracy and completeness Verifying supplier inputs and final product outputs prior to shipment Updating inspection procedures, forms, and processes as requirements evolve Training, coaching, and developing inspection personnel while enforcing quality and productivity standards Writing, implementing, and tracking corrective and preventive actions (CARs) Managing Quality KPIs including nonconformances, returns, defect trends, and on‑time delivery Communicating quality performance clearly to internal teams, suppliers, and customers Profile The successful candidate will have: A Mechanical Engineering degree or similar field Prior experience serving as a Quality Control Manager or Senior Inspector in a manufacturing environment A background in military, defense, or aerospace product inspection Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, specifications, and GD&T Hands‑on experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical tools, and CMMs Experience generating inspection reports, FAIRs, and Certificates of Conformance MIL‑Standards experience preferred Strong communication skills with the ability to document issues and interact effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams Job Offer The candidate will receive: Competitive salary and potential for salary growth Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and vacation/sick leave Opportunities for professional development and career advancement A positive work environment that values collaboration and innovation Work-life balance and flexible scheduling options Access to cutting-edge technologies and resources Engaging and challenging projects that foster skill development Supportive and inclusive company culture Networking opportunities within the industry Potential for performance-based bonuses or incentives.
