This position is responsible and accountable for health stabilization, promotion and maintenance of acute and chronic cardiac illness or injury under the supervision of a physician. Physician Assistant?s (PA?s) are expected to participate in evidenced based clinical practice, clinical research, and ongoing innovative education and shared governance throughout the organization.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Performs admission history and physicals. Evaluates health condition of patient prior to surgery. Evaluates and clarifies clinical conditions. Qualifications:
- Clinical Master?s Degree as a Physician Assistant or Master's degree with a Physician Assistant Certificate or Bachelor's of Science in Physician Assistant with National Certification or Nurse Practitioner with RNFA certification.
- 3 years minimum experience as a Surgical First Assist.
- Current Florida State Licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
- Current BLS and PALS.
- Ability to work as a team with the other APPs and cover all cases when needed.
