As our Special Procedure Technologist, you will learn from very experienced, advanced registry certified SPT's as well as a Team of physicians who will rely on you to add to their procedure with your knowledge and skills. Our SPT's either Pan at the end of the procedural table or Scrub-assist procedures. Our procedures encompass Cardiac catheterization and multi Interventions, Device Implants, Electrophysiology, Watchman and Cardiomems. We also send a team to work in the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program to assist in the Hybrid Surgical Suite. POSITION SUMMARY
This position performs prescribed specialized radiographic procedures as directed by following department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. The incumbent ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs radiographic diagnostic/interventional special procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.

2. Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions; fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes.

3. Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.

4. Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable in accordance with established policies. Demonstrates competence in the administration of radiopharmaceuticals and other approved medications.

5. Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to radiation safety policies.

6. Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information.

7. Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.

8. Independently performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols to patients. Internal customers: All levels of medical imaging and nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. External Customers: regulatory and health agencies, patients and family members.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Recent graduate or less than 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP) or equivalent experience, working routine diagnostics and basic interventions. Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program. Requires ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology (RT) as required by state law. Licensure and/or certification(s) as required by state regulatory agency, if applicable.

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Basic knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology. Basic understanding of Cath Lab procedures and protocols.

Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, ability to analyze data and solve problems.

The Opportunity

As a dedicated Property Adjuster, you will work within defined guidelines and framework, investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle low to moderate complexity property insurance claims. You will confirm/analyze coverage, recognize liability exposure and negotiate equitable settlement in compliance with all state regulatory requirements. This hybrid role requires an individual to be in the office 3 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Tampa, FL or Chesapeake, VA. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

This is an experienced desk based Property Adjuster role working in a telephone concentrated environment without physical inspection of loss. This is an hourly, non-exempt position with paid overtime available. Training will be approximately 12 weeks, Monday to Friday and hours may vary by location. Upon successful completion of training, employees will transition to an eight-hour work shift ranging between 8:00 am – 5:30 pm (local time) Monday to Friday with availability for occasional evenings and weekends based on business needs.

What you'll do:

  • Proactively manages assigned claims caseload comprised of claims with low to moderate complexity damages that require commensurate knowledge and understanding of claims coverage.
  • Partners with vendors and internal business partners to facilitate low to moderate complexity claims resolution. May also involve external regulatory coordination to ensure appropriate documentation and compliance.
  • Investigates claim damages by conducting research from various sources, including the insured, third parties, and external resources. May identify and resolve potential discrepancies and identifies subrogation potential resulting from unusual characteristics.
  • Identifies coverage concerns, reviews prior loss history, determines and creates Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals, when appropriate. Determines coverage through analyzing investigation information involving low to moderate complexity policy terms and contingencies.
  • Determines and negotiates low to moderate complexity claims settlement. Coordinates with management for guidance on assessing settlement amounts outside of authority limits to support managing claims outcomes.
  • Maintains accurate, thorough, and current claim file documentation throughout the claims process.
  • Applies knowledge of estimating technology platforms and virtual inspection tools to prepare and manage low to moderate complexity property insurance claims estimates
  • Recognizes and addresses jurisdictional challenges such as applicable legislation and construction considerations.
  • Supports workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response operations as needed, including mandatory on-call dates and potential evening, weekend, and/or holiday work outside normal work hours.
  • May be assigned CAT deployment travel with minimal notice during designated CATs.
  • Works various types of claims, including ones of higher complexity, and may be assigned additional work outside normal duties as needed.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

  • 1 year of customer service, military leadership, construction related industry/insurance experience and/or experience handling low complexity property claims
  • Knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools and platforms.
  • Demonstrated negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of claims contracts as well as application of case law and state laws and regulations.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task, including navigating through multiple business applications.
  • May need to travel up to 25% of the year (local & non-local) and/or work catastrophe duty when needed.
  • Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts.

Job Summary: Responsible for assisting management in the general business operations of the company by the coordination, and successful completion of the estimating phase of projects.The overall goal of the Estimator is to provide a thorough, accurate, and competitive estimate that will result in the award of a profitable project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Estimator will be primarily involved with performing the following duties and responsibilities.

  • Use discretion and independent judgment and professional skills to perform daily duties and to resolve issues in order to minimize risk to the company.
  • Provide thorough, accurate and competitive cost estimates through all phases of design, from concept to construction and permit documents.
  • Identify value-engineered alternatives relating to construction methods, materials, schedule, and design.
  • Determine proposal specifications and the scope of work by reviewing drawings, attending and/or managing bid and preconstruction meetings, etc.
  • Analyze and document cost analysis from historical projects, purchase orders, contracts, and cost reports for future use in incorporating into estimates.
  • Provide design assistance and cost data regarding project feasibility to the client, design professionals, and project team.
  • Prepare bid package and provide leadership and coordination on bid solicitation and RFP’s.
  • Develop scopes of work for sub-trades prior to and during bid solicitation.
  • Perform takeoffs of multiple trades to minimize Alston Construction’s cost risks.
  • Analyze proposals from subcontractors for cost, scope and completeness to determine award of work.
  • Identify and qualify new subcontractors to ensure an adequate number of qualified and financially sound subcontractors are available and to expand bid solicitation coverage
  • Prepare preliminary project schedules during the preconstruction phase and assist the Superintendent with the contracted schedule prior to construction.
  • Organize and lead the transition of the project cost estimate to the Preconstruction/Project Manager.
  • Assist the Preconstruction/Project Manager with pricing and negotiating owner and subcontractor change orders.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with prospective and current clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.


This position will also require performance of the following duties:

  • Advise Preconstruction Manager, Preconstruction Director or VP/GM of any potential projects with existing or new clients
  • Maintain detailed records of working documents as a back-up for estimates figures, including assumptions made for conceptual designs.
  • Update and maintain subcontractor and design consultant database.
  • Participate in applicable corporate meetings and forums.
  • Make recommendations for ways to improve business operations (including processes, procedures and best operating practices), looking for ways to increase client satisfaction, improve efficiency and improve profitability.
