We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Surgeon for a Locum Tenens position in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
This opportunity involves providing essential orthopedic care with a focus on emergency department (ED) calls.
The surgeon will be responsible for performing total hip and knee replacements as well as managing simple fractures.
Key Responsibilities: Provide orthopedic surgical care for ED patients, specifically focusing on total hip and knee procedures.
Be available for ED call, responding to pages within 15 minutes and being able to arrive on-site within 30 minutes when necessary.
Work collaboratively with a support team that includes two local integrated orthopedic surgeons and one non-integrated physician with privileges.
Qualifications: Board certified in Orthopedic Surgery.
Licensed to practice in Oklahoma or eligible under the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
Experience with total hip replacements is essential, while total knee experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Schedule and Commitment: Ongoing ED call coverage, primarily during weekends, with locum coverage needed 1-2 weekends per month.
Flexible on-call schedule allows leaving the facility when not needed, with call-backs averaging between zero to four hours.
Additional Information: The average patient census is approximately 10 orthopedic patients on the inpatient side.

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

· Current BLS/CPR certification required
