HVAC Technician


The Opportunity: Contribute To The Growth Of Your Career.


The HVAC Technician troubleshoots equipment, performs maintenance, repairs and installs HVAC Building and Data Center systems and equipment, supports the operation of the Facilities Emergency Management Systems. This role provides back up support for all other trades, such as electrical, plumbing, roofing, general construction, grounds, irrigation, and snow removal. They also participate in an on call program, responding to emergency call during and after hours and working overtime for snow removal and other building related needs.


Who We Are Looking For: You.

  • Trouble shoot, maintain, repair and install HVAC systems and equipment at the TJX Buildings and Data Center Facility. This equipment includes pumps, motors, water source heat pumps, cooling towers, boilers, roof top units, unit heaters and chillers.
  • Work with other skilled trades such as electrical, plumbing, general construction, grounds, irrigation and snow removal. Respond to emergency calls as part of an on-call program and participate in any activity necessary to keep the Facility operating properly.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and repair the Energy Management System software and hardware controlling the Home Office complex.
  • Oversee contractors working in the facility to insure the quality of work and minimize the disruption to the facility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • 5 years as an HVAC Technician
  • 2 years in service and troubleshooting of commercial buildings
  • 2 years with experience in operating energy management systems
  • Technical or trade school education in heating, ventilating and air conditioning
  • Required to hold a Refrigeration Technician License with the state
  • Required to have a Universal Refrigerant Certification


This position is on site 5 days per week in the Marlborough, MA office.

  • Manage logistics, timelines, and stakeholder communications for large-scale conferences and virtual events, across multiple business units.
  • Coordinate with the extended marketing team (brand, digital, etc.) to determine promotional material requirements for events aligned with show messaging.
  • Work cross-functionally with the communication and messaging team to ensure the shows meet Genedata brand standards.
  • Manage, track, and maintain marketing information, leads, and opportunities in the CRM database; maintain and update databases such as mailing lists, conference apps, and online components including registration forms, event web pages, and surveys.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to optimize cost and service quality.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to introduce innovative event formats and engagement strategies.
Your Profile
  • 6+ years of experience with tradeshows, events, and hospitality event management.
  • Experience with and knowledge of the On-Premise B2B or Life Sciences industry.
  • Production and project management experience.
  • Experience with supplier and vendor negotiation and management.
  • Experience with budget tracking and expense reconciliation.
  • Ability to work independently, and to adapt nimbly to complex and fast-evolving situations.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage concurrent tasks efficiently; first-class organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Pardot, and sales enablement tools (e.g., Zuant, Hubspot).
  • Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

This position requires occasional travel within North America and will require annual travel internationally.

The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

Job Overview

This position supports the weekend AM shift as part of a rapidly growing U.S. medical device manufacturing operation.


Weekend AM Shift Schedule

Friday – Sunday | 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM (12-hour shifts)

Workers are paid for 40 hours/week due to the weekend premium.


Position Summary

The Associate Manufacturing Technician plays a key role in operating and maintaining advanced automated equipment used to manufacture a flagship medical device product. The technician will be trained to operate and troubleshoot a wide range of technologies including:

  • Heat staking
  • Laser welding
  • Mechanical assembly
  • PCB handling and testing
  • Robotic automation
  • Metal stamping & forming
  • Medical packaging systems
  • High-speed component assembly

This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and comfort working in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and basic preventive maintenance with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain raw material feeds and clear equipment faults/stoppages.
  • Use Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to make process adjustments.
  • Prepare and maintain raw materials to ensure on-time production.
  • Create work orders for emergency, corrective, or preventive maintenance.
  • Track inventory and support quality processes using computer systems.
  • Support new product introductions, equipment validations, and process improvements.
  • Investigate and resolve equipment or process-related issues.
  • Perform routine equipment cleaning, inspection, and lubrication.
  • Use measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify tolerances.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all safety protocols.
  • Maintain cleanroom and medical-device-grade work environments.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Education & Experience

Preferred:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience (training provided for qualified candidates)


Required Skills

  • Basic math skills (arithmetic, geometry, algebra)
