Program Commitment:
Team members have the option of 8, 10 or 13 week assignments after first 13 week contract is completed. Additionally, they will be required to complete 1 (one) 13-week assignment during surge season (Oct 1st - March 31st each year.
• Extended Assignment Team Members function under a contingency staffing model as a PRN Team Member, with no guaranteed hours.
• While on assignment Extended Assignment Team Members will be
scheduled 36 hours/week.
• All scheduling is done at the unit level, with no self scheduling.
• Extended Assignment Team Members are required to work 3 (three) Mondays and/or Fridays, and 3 (three) Saturdays and/or Sundays in a 4-week scheduling period.
Job Summary:
The extended assignment RN Clinical Nurse- Critical Care is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment that is administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders and is supported through the WellStar Shared Governance Model. The framework for practice is steered by the WellStar Professional Practice Model, 5-Star Nursing and evidence-based practice and research. RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by the WellStar Core Competencies.
It is expected that all RN Clinical Nurses are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association. As a member of the patient services team, it is expected that the individual upholds the voice of the patient, system policies and procedures while supporting service excellence goals.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Exemplary Practice and Outcomes
* Performs the Nursing Process (assessment; diagnosis; identification of outcomes; planning; implementation and evaluation) in the performance of clinical care using evidence base practice, uses analytical/critical thinking and insuring that care is individualized; coordinating care through effective partnerships recognizing that caring is central to achieve optimal patient care outcomes
* Provides relationship-based patient centered care that is consistent with population specific characteristics (e.g. age, gender, disease, etc.) in a manner that adapts service delivery to reflect an understanding of cultural diversity
* Always partners with the patient and significant others (as appropriate) using such appropriate method for setting and purpose (e.g., bedside shift report; interdisciplinary rounds; just in time and planned patient teaching; keeping the patient and significant others updated and making the patients goals the focus of the plan of care.
* Practices using current clinical practice standards.
Teamwork and Collaboration
* Coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care that promotes the professional care delivery model. This includes, but is not limited to diverse and inclusive interdisciplinary communication methods (interdisciplinary rounds, case review, etc.); completion of timely documentation and promotion of a respectful, inclusive clinical environment
* Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration by practicing in a manner that is fiscally responsible and promotes the recruitment and retention of all healthcare team members.
* Participates and supports performance improvement inclusive of all stakeholders, research and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care including initiating and/or leading such activities as well as, promoting an inter/intra-disciplinary process and actively supports/participates in shared governance at all levels in the system.
Professional Development and Initiative
* Completes all initial and ongoing professional competency assessment, required mandatory education, population specific education.
* Serves as a preceptor and/or or mentor for other professional nurses (and staff or students for all disciplines) to ensure that there is a current and future qualified workforce; modeling the professional practice of nursing and creating a healthy work environment
Evidence Based Practice and Research
* Promotes Evidence based practice, nursing research and performance improvement in nursing. Participates in activities such as value analysis as part of the decision making process in evaluating patient care products.
* Upholds all health care system/organizational policies and procedures and clinical competencies put forth by this job description and professional association including legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements and standards ensuring by way of example, such goals as TJC Patient Safety Goals and WellStar Health Systems safety absolutes
* Participates in data collection, poses relevant clinical questions to advanced evidence based practice. Consults appropriate experts and uses appropriate resources and evidence to address practice questions.

* Proactively plans for the care of patients across the care continuum in the course of giving direct patient care.

Job Summary
Perform basic installation and maintenance of components used in campus heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and related equipment including chilled water, refrigeration, air compressor, gas heater, air drier, fume hoods, and pumps. Assignments typically require HVAC journeyman level skills. This position will interact with on a consistent basis with: maintenance supervision and staff, building managers and vendors. Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Install, repair, replace, operate, maintain, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing component used in HVAC.

This job requires journeyman level knowledge and skills for installing and maintaining compressors, fans, bearings, belts, dampers, motors, starters, controls, 208, 200, and 460 service, 24 volt-DC service, coils and piping. Position requires the ability to read prints, drawings, and schematics via paper copies and computerized software systems. In addition, the job requires ability to operate machine tools, motor vehicles (may include forklift), hand/power tools, and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment. The position requires the ability to troubleshoot and to sequence tasks for specific assignments.

The School of Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) at GA Tech is seeking to hire a Research Engineer (Open Rank) to serve as a Product Manager. CSE is enhancing our impact on the Georgia Tech ecosystem through new programs that help students become better Research Software Engineers. With this increased capacity, we will amplify the impact of research conducted by Georgia Tech's scientific community. We are expanding our team of 6 professional software engineers (with varying degrees of industry experience) to include a Product Manager who is excited about working in a highly dynamic and research-oriented environment.

- Partner with Georgia Tech faculty to identify areas of scientific research likely to benefit from dedicated Research Software Engineering.

Job Summary
Perform installation and maintenance of components used in campus heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and related equipment including chilled water, refrigeration, air compressor, gas heater, air drier, fume hoods, and pumps. The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Tech currently has over 625 undergraduate students, nearly 400 graduate students, and 55 tenure-track faculty members. Department Information
The Campus Engineering team exists to provide support to all aspects of design, construction, operation, and maintenance of campus facilities. Campus facilities include not only the buildings which are occupied by our students, faculty and staff, but it also includes central campus utility plants and the associated utility systems, including chilled water, steam, power, and natural gas
During the design process, first, our Team creates and maintains the design standards for building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, power distribution, and lighting. These standards are used by us, and by our outside consultants, to guide the design efforts of new buildings and renovation projects. Our team is also responsible for reviewing the design documents created by the consultants to ensure that their designs comply with standards.
During construction projects, our Team is often called upon to provide advice related to unforeseen conditions which are discovered during demolition work. We often provide a second review of material and equipment submittals, as well as shop drawings. On most campus construction projects, the day-to-day interaction with the contractor is managed by our co-workers within one of the Construction teams. However, on a few projects we may be called on to manage those day-to-day contractor activities.
Post construction, and throughout the life of the facilities, our team serves to provide advice to our Operation & Maintenance teams, and our Utilities Maintenance team, when a problem grows larger than their capacity. We also plan and prepare the way for projects to replace equipment as it nears the end of life. We are always looking ahead for opportunities to increase efficiency and resiliency in the systems.

The Public Services department provides 24/7 support to the Georgia Tech Library community. Job Summary
The Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a Research Engineer II position. This role supports sponsored research in the modeling and simulation of turbulent reacting multiphase flows in propulsion and power systems.
The successful candidate will conduct high-fidelity computational research using Large Eddy Simulation (LES) and Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS) to investigate complex turbulent reacting flows in aerospace propulsion applications, including gas turbines, scramjets, and liquid rocket systems. Research activities are closely aligned with externally funded projects and include simulation development, model validation, data analysis, reporting, and dissemination of results.
This is a full-time research faculty appointment contingent upon sponsored funding.
Responsibilities
Research Engineer II
ResponsibilitiesConduct high-fidelity LES and DNS simulations of geometrically complex turbulent reacting flows relevant to propulsion and power systems
Develop, implement, and validate computational models and numerical methods within specialized research codes
Optimize and execute simulation cases on advanced high-performance computing platforms
Process, analyze, and interpret large simulation datasets
Support sponsored research deliverables, including milestone reporting and technical documentation
Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at technical conferences
Contribute to proposal development and expansion of externally funded research programs
Assist in mentoring graduate students and supporting broader research program activities
Required Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering and three (3) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree, or
- A Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering , and five (5) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of a Bachelor's degree, or
- A Doctoral degree.

Demonstrated expertise in turbulence modeling, LES, and DNS
Experience developing, validating, and implementing subfilter/subgrid-scale models
Strong background in high-performance computing (HPC), including massively parallel computing on large-scale heterogeneous systems
Experience with CFD code development and optimization for multi-core architectures and GPU-accelerated platforms
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Fortran, C, and MATLAB
Experience with advanced data processing and large-scale simulation post-processing
Record of peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations in fluid dynamics, combustion, or related fields
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment and communicate technical results effectively

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States. The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking to hire Research Scientist.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Conceive, plan, and conduct individual research in broad areas relevant to the mission of the laboratory (imaging, therapy and contrast/therapeutic agents.
- Serve as the technical lead for the laboratory in your area of expertise.
- Plan and direct a number of collaborative research projects including coordination of research activities between groups and disciplines.
- Develop new instruments, materials, processes, scientific methods, approaches and algorithms.
- Responsible for directing others; plans, organizes, and supervises the work of laboratory scientists, engineers, and technicians. Evaluate progress and results obtained, recommend major changes to achieve overall objectives.
- Participate in strategic planning; key role in identifying and acquiring research funding.
- Review schedules, cost and documentation to ensure success of projects.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
